On September 23 in Hanoi, Colonel General Phạm Hoài Nam, Deputy Minister of National Defense, held a working session with the General Department of National Defense Industry and related units to discuss the research, design, and production of the XTC-03 armored personnel carrier and the T-1 amphibious tank.
Major General Phạm Thanh Khiết reported that Factory Z179/GAET was assigned to lead the XTC-03 project, while Factory Z125 would handle the T-1 tank. Framework proposals for both vehicles have been submitted to the Department of Military Science. To accelerate progress, both factories have been tasked with developing prototypes by March 31, 2026.
Colonel General Phạm Hoài Nam praised the initiative and emphasized the strategic importance of these vehicles, urging all parties to stay proactive and expedite the process to ensure early deployment.

On October 30, Factory Z175, in coordination with Factory Z153 and under the direction of the Department of Motor Vehicles – Transport, General Department of Logistics – Engineering, successfully completed the trial run of the large-size 18.00-24 tire manufactured by Z175. The tire was mounted on the KZKT tank transporter—a specialized heavy-duty vehicle used for transporting tanks and heavy military equipment.

The 18.00-24 tire was tested over a total distance of 200 km, covering asphalt roads, concrete surfaces, and complex terrain to evaluate traction, directional stability, load-bearing capacity, and wear resistance under real-world operating conditions.

The tire met all technical requirements, supporting loads of up to 8.2 tons per wheel. It operated stably without wobbling, vibration, or imbalance, and maintained consistent temperature and shape throughout the testing process.

Results showed that the tire’s performance was equivalent to that of Russian-made tires of the same size, effectively meeting operational demands for KZKT vehicles currently in service with the military.
