Dulu sih imperial Japanese Army pernah cawe cawe di Siberia pas Russian civil war, mereka dapet banyak gain mulai dari pembentukan negara boneka Manchuria dan ngamanin koloni mereka di Korea. Kalo ga dikalahin Soviet di khalkin gol Jepang lebih milih ngerebut Siberia daripada nyerang koloni barat di Asia Pasifik.
