@JATOSINT so you know about RedEyes but what about Tale Of The Sea King?
It already completed and the hard copy also available here in Bahasa Indonesia.
The art can be considered good and bad, the character is bland but the ship(MC faction'ship) and sea is good.

You can enjoy naval battle (between sail ship tho), the enemy is European style sail ship armed with old school naval gun/ canon and they also have explosive that can be thrown meanwhile the MC only relying on maneuvering his ship and they only have several dudes with arrow and shield, the MC is tokyo drifting using his ship.
The MC's ship in real life would be look like this/ similar :

It is newer, I think in Indonesia it is published by Elex and the final volume was released/published by Elex in around 2009 or 2010 maybe.

But everything is in black just like The Black Pearl.

When the story is in the part of the naval battle it is quite technical, its not like One Piece where the ship just move and that's it, but the ship captain will gives orders on how to move the rudder and sails etc.
