"The reform efforts by President Jokowi are seemingly improving Indonesia's ability to compete for attracting higher-value foreign direct investments in areas such as mining and electric vehicles," said Marc Mealy, the council's senior vice president of policy.

"Looking ahead, U.S.-Indonesia economic priorities of interest to American companies will include health care, renewable energy resources, and the use of digital technologies and green finance to support economic recovery," Mealy added."

That's why US also have to make their own initiative to replace China BRI. Developing countries around the world are craving for infrastructure to boost their economy, there is no cost efficient trade when they got no big interstate like highway and only got congested road.

But I think, US will not gonna do anything to beat China with any kind of Marshall Plan scale this decades. They even now focus on their own infrastructures that just become never ending blunder of how much have to be spend for respective infrastructure bill.

The only way of US try to beat Chinese BRI is their DFC, which they play with investments scheme rather than debt. That's a good scheme tho. In Indonesia, they made an investment in INA, which maybe start to be in the full swing next year. Jalan tol modal utang RRT, ditutupnya pake INA yang uangnya dari banyak pihak tanpa ada entitas RRT sama sekali disitu.
