You can't seperate the economic and political implications from territorial gains. Putin's regime can claim to a domestic audience that they won because the borders of Russia have moved, but there is no scenario at the end of this in which Russia emerges as a more powerful and wealthy nation. Russia has torpedoed any hope it had at a prosperous future because it gravely miscalculated how the war would play out.
Exactly one can't - this war IMO isn't just about NATO via Ukraine being at Moscow's doorsteps.
It is about Ukraine's vast wealth of natural resources, incl. it's population - if exploited solely by the EU and the USA it would mean effectively the end towards Russia's economy, or at least Russia's economy sinking into irrelevancy. (Something that the USA and some others are clearly looking at, or actually want to happen).

If handled in a professional manner (getting rid of it's corruption practices and other issues) Ukraine could actually develop into the 2nd or 3rd largest economy in Europe within 20-25 years.

As such - sorry to say; Even a nuked out and environmentally destroyed Ukraine = benefit and survival for Russia.

If they start to use nukes they will be destroyed BEFORE they can do more dmg to the world. US can destroy most of the russian nukes (many of them are for sure not operational anymore, remember its RUSSIA there are many things on paper only sold long time ago), some of course will survive and few cities will be destroyed but it will be something that MUST be done at all cost.

That's quite stupid way of thinking, even if US can destroy most of Russian nukes, say 70% than again the remaining 30% is enough to wipe out Europe and the rest of the world for a large part.
Russia is simply too big to reach all her nukes on time and has also nukes on submarines

Those are easiest to kill NOW. Come on, do you really think those subs are able to hide in 2020s? Its not 1960s.

IF Russia starts to nuke its not a matter of choice to nuke THEM. It HAS to be done. And yes, cities will be lost BUT remember

"From 1945 to 2017, more than two thousand nuclear test explosions were conducted around the world"

And Hiroshima and Nagasaki are beautiful cities 80 years after the war.

Nato did not put a gun to countries head to join. All of them joined on their own accord.

Usa and Russia were suppose to protect Ukrainian neutrality hence why they gave up the nukes and strategic bombers. What did they get a corrupt Russian puppet when he got taken out Russia invaded with some bs excuse because it was going to lose its backyard.

The sole purpose of a sub is to hide, go find a sub in the wide ocean that's like finding a needle in a hay stack.

That is why e.g. Russia and China developed low yield nuclear warheads in the past 30 years - unlike the US and Western countries who ignored this issue.

Unless, this time there's an actual chance the US successfully deliver the bomb with the F-35s

No one states this. fact is that from 1991-1999 the USA and Germany stuck to the agreement of not 1 inch forward. By simply saying NO.
It was upon the Clinton era that this agreement was discarded - simply taking Russia's economic and military weakness into account.

Exactly NEUTRALITY, and if Ukraine decides to become a NATO member e.g. in 2006 it isn't neutral anymore.

Russia still uses the German unification as an excuse of nato expansion. As east germany unified with the west the Russians still used it as an excuse of nato expansion when the gdr itself joined west germany.

Clinton administration actually supported Boris Yeltsin look it up even supported his election campaigns.

It's not an excuse - it's a fact in regards to commitments voiced by Kohl and Bush towards Gorbachev and being adhered to till 1999.
Clinton administration actually supported Boris Yeltsin look it up even supported his election campaigns.
Off course they supported it - taking Russia and Yeltzin's personal weakness (Vodka and $) into account hoping to gain influence onto Russia politics and to make them accessible towards US demands and agendas. Just as Russia had a big hand and an agenda in the US election, in regards to Dumb Trump.

Putin IMO has no scruples towards deploying low yield nukes toward Ukraine. The USA most likely will not be willing to deploy nukes onto Russian held territory in Ukraine. (even though there was a time (almost 30 years) were the USA, France and the UK had no issues with the fact that the nuclear battlefield in Europe would be Germany. And again IMO, the USA will never risk a direct nuclear strike/attack onto Russia, no matter if via cruise missiles, ballistic of aircraft.
After all it would involve NATO into any consequences resulting from such a strike - and NATO "supposedly" isn't just governed directed by Washington, as such a nuke counter-strike by the USA would need to be agreed upon by NATO.
