This is just my opinion but I feel that the Egypt vs Argentina match was way too rigged. They didn't even bother to hide their favoritism by this point

Egypt had one of its goals removed and should have had a penalty but the referee refused to use the VAR when Mohammad Salah asked for a review yet they were as quick as lightning to use VAR when Argentina asked for it

By this point, if they want Messi to win, they should just give him the trophy and be over with it

Argentina can't win the title. Too old , too slow and Scaloni is a bit stubborn. The only thing that I can think of is that they want to set up the match England Vs Argentina, just that England can average 1986.
It was clear to me from the first minutes of the first Argentinian match , that Messi legs are completely gone.
There is one thing though, being down two with 11 minutes to play and to loose, well well you ain't good enough.
This might sound unpleasant to some, there are the teams that mentally can't play 90 minutes.
Senegal? Congo? Etc Colombia, Ecuador???
Brazilians could have when different profile like Cafu , Ronaldo Nazario etc were there. Now we have Vicinius and he is more similar to the American rappers then Brazilian Cumbia, you catch my drift?
Whatever might have been behind the scenes, Argentina needed at least 2 goals, they got 3 . The challenge from Parades while the result was 2 2? Parades broke Colombia in the final of Copa America.
I was having the same debate with friend of mine, I asked him 5 times, is there anything that Egypt can be blamed of? He didn't answer.
Whatever the chances, weather legal or not were given someone still needs to convert them. That can't be arranged.
Oh I almost forgot, I never trust the lefties with the penalties.

Egypt had 11 minutes to hold onto 2 0 lead, no? So , if they have real quality, referee couldn't help Argentina.
Referee can't score for Argentina.
They might be favoured or not but for me the worst part was that they folded. The same as any team without proper mentality.

I wanted Egypt to win but they went into a defensive mode too soon and Argentina piled on the pressure. Anything can happen in the penalty area when it gets crowded.
VAR is the decision maker now - right or wrong. Its happening in all major sports now.

VAR is worse than that. It’s turned into a weapon. Different standards apply to two teams on the pitch.
When it was introdused, I was skeptical. Too American. Ever since than I follow every “revolutionary” change. They were all modifications borrowed from American sports to satisfy American broadcast companies and their fans.
