For those who dont know the reason for the sudden gains by Iranian-backed houthis against Saudi Arabia

Within the last few days, Iranian-backed militias have destroyed Yemeni govt forces by a significant margin; however here is the catch, nearly all the territories that were lost were supposed to be protected by forces that were once part of the UAE-backed Yemeni transition council. According to Iranian and turkish sources, formerly UAE-backed forces didnt even fire a bullet against the Houthis even though they were ordered to hold the line while Saudi-backed forces try and storm Sanaa city

In other words, the UAE backstabbed Saudi Arabia in the most crucial moment possible and sided with Iran to give it more leverage against the Mecca alliance amd the US. It was a message of revenge from the UAE to Saudi Arabia saying: "Just because we were kicked out of Yemen doesnt mean our influence over our militias have waned" and "this is what you get for forming the Mecca alliance"

Reminds of Hayreddin Barbrossa a lot of the battles he lost before becoming a Ottoman navy admiral was the Arabs constant backstabbing in North Africa.

He expressed his fustrations in a memoir of his life.

I dont expect Turkiye or Pakistan to fight Saudi Arabia's battles.

Alliances dont work as a mechanism to bail people out. This is all on Saudi Arabia they have to get their act together.

Plus Houthis actually destroyed Turkish soldiers graves in Yemen. So they pretty much hate us. They even talked about how Yemen is going to be our grave. Yemenis also celebrate their victories against the Turks. Not to mention we ruled them for centuries biggest issue with Yemen is pacifying the region.

With Iran being our neighbor, I wouldn't shit where I eat I guess. The Saudi military is in the top 10 in terms of military budgets. If they can't manage this, it's on them. Complete humiliation.

Besides: If you are Saudi Arabia and looking to hire foreign but "Muslim gun", what's the point of hiring "Turkish forces"? Literally most other Muslim countries have cheaper workforces. Preferably, I wouldn't like to see violence among Muslims but that's up to the Gulf Arabs and Iranians to decide I guess

Budgets don't win conflicts or wars. Professionalism, capacity and capability wins. But then this is just my opinion.

I agree but the disparity between what is the best funded military in the ME and proxy forces in sandals is just too big to ignore
