Who is actually backing who in Yemen right now?
To be honest, Houthi support among locals is way more complicated than it looks on the news.
Even though they hold areas where nearly 80% of the population lives, that doesn't mean everyone there is an ideological fan.
If you look at local polls, their actual political approval is pretty low, somewhere around 10%, mostly due to the terrible economic situation and their heavy-handed rule.
But interestingly, their recent actions in the Red Sea and stance on Palestine gave them a massive popularity boost, even among people who usually hate them.
When it comes to the Sunni-Shia divide, it’s not just a simple black-and-white religious war. Sunnis in the south are fiercely anti-Houthi, both for sectarian reasons and because they want independence from northern rule.
On the flip side, many Sunnis in the north actually fight alongside the Houthis or tolerate them, mostly just to survive or because they share common tribal rivals.
Historically, Yemen's Zaydi Shia branch is culturally very close to Sunnis anyway, and they used to pray in the same mosques without any issues. So at the end of the day, most Sunnis do oppose the Houthi political model, but practical survival and regional politics often override religious differences on the ground.

If Saudi Arabia actually used DF-15As to hit the Houthis (and it really looks like they did), then either they've completely lost their mind, or they're flat out out of options.

The DF-15A has never been sold on record, and its export variant is called the M9 — so even if it was sold secretly, DF-15A markings shouldn't be showing up on it. According to the records, this missile model was considered for purchase by Saudi Arabia and other countries back in the 1990s, but the deal was later killed after the US stepped in. This isn't some cheap missile — its warhead yield and accuracy are seriously high-end, and it was even considered for, or fitted with, a nuclear warhead. The odds of the Houthis getting their hands on this missile and actually being able to use it are basically nil. Right now one theory going around is that someone deliberately spray-painted "DF-15A" onto a different missile model. But honestly, I also can't think of any Houthi target valuable enough to justify hitting it with this thing.

Maybe you are right,maybe they painted DF-15A on another missile but why would they do that?
What would be the use,there are maybe a handfull Houthis knowing the meaning of DF-15A?
The value could be deterence,show them what you have so that they stop or become afraid.

they have precision bombs, but lack proper training in conducting SEAD/DEAD against Houthi limited air defenses, they have hundreds of advanced 4th gen fighters, but are being kept at bay by limited short range Iranian made air defense systems
That is just how incompetent Saudi military is.
