The quality of the Malazgirt tactical field graphics software engine is truly tremendous. Congratulations Havelsan.
This level of gaming quality graphics technology is only available in a few simulator manufacturers in the world. The Malazgirt system that Havelsan developed after purchasing the American Quantum3D company gives great results.

Could they modify the engine to use it for video games? Realistic tank simulator game could sell well. 60 dollar for the game. Plus accessories, DLCs. Good money good money.

It's about 100 milliseconds in fact. Combat proven on Imam Khomeini Boulevard.

The gist of it, he's basically saying that the testing of the engine takes almost as much time as the development of the engine. So, expect 2-3 years of qualification tests before BATU powerpack is ready.

It's not only testing, some of the critical parts have to be "Turkified" as well.

Companies use foreign components to speed up design / development of systems and once the proto is working as desired they put effort in replacing those critical foreign parts by having Turkish parts designed for it.

This is insane. Isn't Korean power pack in the market for a long time? Why did we wait for purchasing so long? IIRC Turkish authorities didn't want it for some performance reasons. Then what has changed?

Its Transmission had reliability problems. Either they fixed it or the Koreans offered an alternative that works and our Officials green lit the acquisition. We will see. First the Powerpack will undergo a 10.000km mobility and reliability test. It could still fail.

If I'm not mistaken the Koreans also are offering the K2PL to the Poles with their own Powerpack. So the chances are high they were able to fix the transmission.

What I don't understand is why T1 is still being procured since it is nearing obsolescence already. They should scrap it for the T2 configuration.

People have little patience and bad memory. Development time of UTKU is 68 months. BATU probably at least the same. BATU development began officially in june 2018. +68 months means at minimum februari 2024 finish for BATU. Altay production to start in 2023 with different 'korean' powerpack. Current plan is Altay will be produced for at least 1 year before BATU can be serial produced.

SSB is still in search for an alternative engine, this brings mind a few questions on the Batu project. A lack of confidence, may be? It does not look as assuring when you persist on indigenous solutions, but opt for (cost no object) foreign alternatives, to save a year. And what is a year compared to time we have lost in the process? O, I see, it needs to be up and running latest by 2023, 2024 is way too late!
The reason is testing. Batu project is moving faster than expected. First BMCPower needs to complete the tests on the bench than 10k km mobility tests on the Altay. This takes a huge time. Don't expect a powerpack to start running tests on the Altay before 2023 and don't expect a fully qualified product before late 2024.

There were no Korean power pack there is only Korean engine and transmission is german.
We/Turkiye did not wait anything this option was analyzed. They found transmission is german and this as we now is dead end.

The Koreans had their own transmission but deemed it not good enough and started production with the German one. As others have said either they have fixed it now or we're buying something with a lower quality.

Half Lifespan of MTU engine wouldnt be a big problem if İt worked without problem by this mileage.

If Korean powerpack were produced in Türkiye , the shorter lifespan could be compansated.

For instance Russian fighters' jet engines, they have 30% lifespan of American ones, but Russians produce them. Once the engine domestic you can replace it with new one as your wishes.
transmission is german
Korean revealed their transmission , I've shared here somewhere.

This tankproject is definitely coming to late for the big war on Jerusalem (the war on Jerusalem or WW3 is coming, like all ancient books wrote about it and Albert Pike talked about it).
