Would Turkish drone concept be effective against a country like Greece as well?

Greek SAM inventory:
  • Osa
  • Tor-M1
  • S-300 in Crete
  • Crotale
  • Pac-3

Turkish drone concept;
  • Tb2 tactical class armed drones 27000ft, 150kg payload
  • Anka, Anka+ MALE class turbodiesel bomber drones 30000ft; 250kg (Anka) and 350kg(Anka+) payload
  • Akinci, Aksungur MALE class heavy payload turbo-prop/diesel drones at 40000ft; 750kg Aksungur and 1350kg Akinci paylod
  • Kargi long range anti-radiation kamikaze drones (range :~1500-2000km)
  • Fast target drones to mimic fighter jets. They will confuse enemy SAM batteries before big boys join into the game.
  • Göksungur (?) and MIUS fighter (1t munition payload) jet drone for SEAD and AA missions.
As a side note: Addition to MAM-L, Turkish drones will be able to drop Teber, HGK, SDB, KGK, Kuzgun and SOM-like bigger and longer range national munitions, cruise missiles.

Is there any Greek member here?

I don't know enough about the Greek Armed Forces to provide a detailed analysis.

My first impression is that Greece will be a much harder nut to crack for Turkey than Armenia has been for Azerbaijan so far.

Greek Air Force is almost as strong as Turkish Air Force, based on a cursory look at their inventories. Since both the countries are NATO members, I presume the quality of their training is comparable. Somebody can correct me if I am wrong here. With evidence, I hope.

These drones won't last against fighter jets.

I can't speak of Greek tactics, supply lines or how well integrated their air defence systems are. A knowledgeable Greek member will have to fill in on that.

Personally, if I was Greece I would invest in offensive weaponry and good intelligence. Take out all major Turkish airbases and their assets day 1 and you can gain a huge advantage militarily. You must not rely on defensive in a situation like this, you must take decisive action and in the case of Greece end the war quickly.

No airbases= no drones + no fighters= domination of the battlefield

Storm Shadow CM and long range MLRS are both great starts for this exactly.

Akinji turbo probe engine means it is able to fly from unprepared land like other lifting aircrafts, turboprop famous for that... also, its tail design tell me its thought to lift it.

Even if it can take off and land from unprepeared, would it help if it is destroyed on the ground?

Even if it wasn't destroyed, it can't compete against even Mirage-2000 in air-air combat.

two can play that game philip. We have much more guided munitions and cruise missiles to attack Greek Air Force in the bases. They cant produce those missiles and buy them in bulk cost too much. Your core argument that Greece is better with the offensive stance is right. But the reality is much more complicated than that.

Turkey has 99 airports and huge land, how will Greek destroy them? its the Greek side that has the land that all of their airport are in the range of Khan or Som missiles... How will Greek shoot eastern or north Turkey? especially all Turkish airports are built Greek in mind

Better to invest in that than Rafale in my opinion.

It just needs to take out most assets it can, those assets taken out will reduce capability of Turkish air force a lot. Most useful bases are within 500km of Greek territory.

the thing is, the reason Turkey produce Akinji, it will be able to shoot air to air missiles on coming cruise missiles, simply do air defense , and also you able to fly them 24/7 unlike f16. so when Akinji in Turkish inventory, they will not be able to shot anything, unless they shoot ballistic missiles, but that way, Turkey will also know about coming missile way earlier...

Airspeed affects range for air-to-air missiles, F-16 and Rafale will be able to take out Akinci long before Akinci kills F-16 or Rafale. Cruise missiles could work, but it needs to be detected very early which even tier 1 and tier 2 airforces have a hard time doing.

i dont say shoot jets, i say just do the defensive until Hisar missiles comes.. after that you will not need them either. with network enabled warfare, Awacs will detects and control the air to air missile, they will just need to fire it which Turkey will produce domesticaly

I am not going to argue, it is a waste of my time and I am quite tired. We won't know what would happen until it happened really.

If you set up your defensive or offensive strategy focused on similar kind of weapons and techniques, the loss will be inevitable.
This is why proper armies of decent countries keep their weapon inventory wide and does not rely on a few single tactics, can change it on the go if one another doesn't work.

Saturation of an adversaries air defences would be catastrophic, especially if the adversary does not have the means to replenish their arms domestically.

Might also be good to test out their Erieye AEW&C and what sort of detection ranges they have against drones.
