It was preferable to carry the Kalkan II radar on a mast to increase its range against low targets, as well as reduce the number of vehicles by making the system Compact like VL-Mica

You mean like the HISAR-A with MAR AESA radar

If it's a necessity, I'm sure there isn't any reason why it can't be done.

I mean to reduce the deployment time of the Hisar-O+ system as well as increase its range, if the radar is mounted on a truck it will be much faster in the process of transportation (High mobility) and deployment

I understand what you mean. Trucks would be more versatile and mobile, while Armoured vehicles would need to be transported to destination and such. It could be useful to have a solution where the radar range is extended using truckmounted. But trucks are easier targets for UCAV launched attacks and even amateurish solutions can be quite nasty.

Does Turkey have a project to counter hypersonic missiles? Russians have just tested Zircon again. The Chinese have a load of them.

20mm phalanx appears absolutely helpless against Brahmos.

I am going to guess people are going to say Siper :)
And we’ll likely end up argue about the speed and interception possibilities 😆

30mm Goalkeeper could do something against Brahmos?
I dont think our fragments of 35mm Gökdeniz have enough kinetic energy to stop a hypersonic missile.
Could it be the reason PLAN ships have type 730 CIWS?

In all honesty, you don’t really need kinetic energy of the fragments to stop Brahmos or any missile. The fragments create a wall that the missile hits. So the missile’s kinetic energy is enough for the fragments to destroy the outer shell of the missile and break it up.
The real problem lies in the effective range of the CIWS. If a hypersonic missile is travelling at say 6 Mach, it is covering 2000 metres every second. If CIWS achieves contact at 1500 metres, then all the parts and fragments of the missile that have broken up, will have enough momentum to cover that distance in under a second to hit the ship and cause extensive damage.
Gokdeniz has a range of 4000metres. This is quite a good range. If it is accompanied with a good tracking and targeting radar to physically engage the target at this range, it can theoretically stop a supersonic Brahmos.
Most effective way to stop such a missile is with another missile that has contact range over 4km. An ESSM or a RAM that has in excess of 8-10 km range with the right radar and seeker head, could do the job. The difficulty is writing the correct algorithms and programs for the defensive missile seeker and radar to achieve a kill of an incoming threat at that speed. Remember S400 system has missiles that travel at 3-5 Mach but can hit threats travelling at hypersonic speeds. (40N6E missile has a speed of 3.5 Mach. But can hit targets travelling at 14 Mach. 48N6E missile can travel at 5.9 Mach and hit targets travelling at 14 Mach) The trick is in your tracking and targeting radar’s effectiveness.
Brahmos is a supersonic missile. ESSM can probably handle that. But Brahmos 2 still in development stage is a hypersonic missile. That will need a lot of head scratching to stop it! (Russians claim they can stop hypersonic missiles, with s400)

Point defense is easier than wide-area defense (in terms of interception). S400 does a wide-area defense and intercepts hypersonic missiles targeting elsewhere, ESSM or other self-defense weapons intercepts missiles targeting the point which is they are located upon.

We can easily expect even Gökdeniz / Phalanx to stop a hypersonic threat as long as it is not top-attacking BM, as long as it has sufficient time.

When asked whether he expects HİSAR-O+ to be delivered before the end of 2021, President of Defense Industries DEMİR said, “The delivery process of HİSAR-O+ continues. Deliveries have a formal course within the specific reviews acceptance processes. In other words, let's say the system is ready for the manufacturer, every system is like this, then there are certain controls with the user, system checks, adaptation trainings and so on. From that point of view, it would be nice if we wanted the end of the year, but it may pass the end of the year a little more so that everyone will feel comfortable.”

Turkey wanted to but US refused to allocate funds to integrate it into the NATO network. There was also issues regarding tech transfer.

HQ-9 deal really deserved attention as it's not just analog of s300. İt has active radar seekers, AESA radar, passive radars and ToT.

Honestly though, with no tech transfers in sight, I feel that the S400 deal would turn into a hoax
My main argument for possessing S400s rather than F35s has always been the tech transfer and the fact that Turkey may gain a nationally built, fairly advanced, deep, long ranged, and extensive missile defense system which it greatly needs rn compared to expensive fighter jets

But with no tech transfers, why is Turkey buying a second batch of S400s?

Because it was never about any tech transfers or acquiring experience, it was basically blackmail by Russia. Turkey needs to hand off these S-400s as soon as AKP leaves and Russia (hopefully) no longer has major politicians by the balls. They have provided virtually zero benefit thus far. They aren't even activated IIRC so they are literally just sitting there and as drones hammered home over the past few years, AA defense systems are worse than useless without air superiority which the F-35, for all its flaws, would've actually provided.

It never ceases to amaze me how the Turkish government handed over so much control over the nation's fate to one of Turkey's biggest and longest-running rivals.

I think it was probably shared a few pages back. It was decided not to share the technology transfer issues regarding the S400 with anyone, with the decision of the two countries. Turkey just does not want to bring nonsense conversations of so called S400 and F35 experts who are far from reality, commenting according to their submissive ideological positions and incapable of reading the geopolitical agenda of "ally" countries that doesn't hesitate to play embargo card against Turkey at every geopolitic disagreement, to its agenda again, both inside and outside of the country. It is not a logical thing to talk about every single subject about these systems anymore. In a country where there are so many American and Russian wannabe experts, the state does not have a say in these matters anymore.

Well said.

Main thing is American and Russian wannabes in here and Turkiye. They always trigger a trolling news as there is any REAL thing, but there is NONE.
It is only trolling which is going to result "shits". This people only know to throw shits and they Hope for Naive people to believe it.

There will always be people in both camps that says if you're not with us then you must be in the other camp. This could not be further than the truth.

There will always be true patriots that says. We don't need to suck up to either camp. We have to be quiet and resilient until we have develop the capability ourselves.

Neither of the two camps can tolerate the true patriots because it's an enigma to both sides.

"Dogruya Dogru, yanlisa Yanlis." At the end of the day there are corruption on both sides.

We may have faith in our defense industry like Aselsan, Havelsan, Roketsan, TAI, TEI etc. But at the end of the day the corrupt politicians can ruin those companies very easily.
