Russia lacks the offensive capacity to invade Ukraine.

Well for starters NATO cant even get anything like the Su-70 related in operation Hint: BAE Taranis, Neuron or X-47B so theres that and so what the Russians havent even gone full force on Georgia, few fucking months for NATO

The Su-57 is was hinted with GaN AESA EW system modules in a 2014 Rostec book, has all aspect stealth radar and infrared coverage, next in 2026 they will have an LTS stealth aircraft that is 1/3rd the cost of the F-35. While they are getting successful results with detonation engines, photonic radars, etc. We can run comparisons if you like just throw in whatever you want here :coffee:
Yeah sure RT is a very viable source.

Even the chinese surpassed the russians They have better avionics and better AA missiles.

Like that's the case for years already, the only arena the Chinese industry are struggling are in the engine department.

I don't think Russia has anything close to an APG-81 or even smaller AESA like the APG-83/79 etc.

I guess it infuriates you that the Su-70 is a big boy to that is entering service in a few years in comparison to the TB2? It took NATO MONTHs when another country as shitty as Kosovo like Georgia took 5 days.
Congratulations, it took Russia just under a week of a full-scale offensive against a tiny country with limited resources to get what they wanted. BTW, don't pay attention to all the humiliation the Russian air force suffered in the process, that's totally fake news.

Meanwhile NATO runs a few bombing sorties to stop people killing each other in former Yugoslavia without any intention of a full-scale offensive or conquering territory but sure, those two are totally equivalent.

Doesn't the FSB have enough money to hire smarter shills anymore? I am disappointed.

What a boring comeback :( is there anything that is awesome that is coming from the west?

They literally had their own versions stealth UAVs before the Russians even had the Su-70 and now the Su-70 is going to be in operation in about a few years and 6 months from now we are going to get an order number. This drone as even fired air to air missiles.

creating a unmanned version of the LTS, still heard nothing from any F-35 developements on this, thus further increasing the range because of extra fuel storage. https://eadaily.com/ru/news/2021/12...-chto-ostalos-za-kadrom-na-dubai-airshow-2021

Than there is breakthroughs in photonic radars and detonation engines along with more hypersonic flight vehicle tests for them.

internal hypersonic air to ground missiles. What does the west have that will make me go wow?

yes the exchange made them lose some soviet equipment but none of the high end shit they keep to themselves.

Russias georgia invasion wasnt full scaled either, I assure they spent shit load of money in those operations than what Russia spent on Georgia. This board has a tendency to cry about shills and bots when someone with a different opinion comes here sort of like F-16.net and thats not a compliment.

Thanks to a certain pilot from an F-35 he stated the radar capabilities allows him to see a fighter aircraft from 200 miles away which is pretty much already the capabilities of what an Su-35 or Su-57 can do, And since they say the LTS radar is sort of based off the byelka I can be rest assured that 3 LTS aircrafts is more than enough for a single F-35 with less the costs.

Yeah sure We know how russians like to brag about how good their tech and in field they fail miserably just like your AA missiles and their jets.

1 rafale is enough to shotdown mig29s or Su 35s

the Egyptians seem to have cancelled their Su-35-order after testing its radar against Rafale's ECM-suite. what a great Jet amirite?

Also @AlphaMike about russian radars "Problem with all of this is: the esence of modern avionics is software - which is hard to gauge, but where the Rusians are light years behind the West"

Just gonna say this:

By the time those LTS manage it's first flight there will be 1000+ operational F-35s, with hundreds are the latest block IV with the 200kN XA100/101 engine.

Knowing how long the Russians are with their development of SU-57… I would not be surprised that NGAD would at least achieve IOC by the time LTS prototype#2 take flight.

The truth is the technological gap between the west and Russia had never been so wide. And the geopolitics are never tilting this heavily in favor of the west, any battle would increasingly be one sided, hence I could see why Russia would not want Ukraine becoming another NATO state.

I think people should be respectful and stop making fun of people who're giving their pov on RU capabilities.

I think that Harop type and TB2 type uav are enough to make life really hard for rebels, Wagner etc. The issue here is that if you allow the bear to build up and start moving you will need a strategic nuke to stop them from moving into your land.

The lack of technology (quality) will Russia offset by quantity.

how ? the Su-35 has better radars, long range air to air missiles and some RAM coatings for cockpit I have an agreement with mig-29s because they are old.

How old is your info on Egypt? https://www.al-monitor.com/originals/2021/03/egypt-us-tension-sanctions-russia-arms-deal.html By the way this is also countring the US threatening egypt with sanctions so ECM suite my ass?

The F-35 EW suite did get updated but they are not saying if it is more software or module related, https://rostec.ru/upload/iblock/749/7499bd4f8161ec87a58c080c077564e8.pdf See page 63 keep in mind this is a 2014 book and the Su-35, Su-57 and Su-34 all had gotten new EW modules after 2014. I thought before that the Russians were behind in drone technology because they did not have anything like X-47B, BAE Taranis or Neuron but none of this have production or in service dates while the Su-70 does and they making the Su-75 variant the same way with extra fuel because no cockpit is needed for more fuel storage https://eadaily.com/ru/news/2021/12...-chto-ostalos-za-kadrom-na-dubai-airshow-2021, dont know how they are infrared sensing technology but they did manage to catch up really quickly if we compare this https://en.topwar.ru/181736-rosteh-...-pribory-razvedki-dlja-specpodrazdelenij.html to this https://www.baesystems.com/en-us/product/target-reconnaissance-infrared-geolocating-range-finder. I am pretty sure photonic radars will outperform conventional radars so its not like something India will receive anyways. Also Billie flyn an F-35 pilot in a interview stated he can see the enemy 200 miles away, and I assure the Su-35 and current Su-57 do so as well and the LTS will be based off the su-57 radar and I think they have the same size radar dome noses, so i wish the F-35 good luck facing two LTS jamming the shit out of it with another one using its radar and this will be a fair fight in terms of comparing costs.

No exoskeleton suits, detonation aircraft engines, photonic radar developements, The U.S. and Russia are developing three stream cycle engines and the NGAD will basically have all the same shit the 2nd Su-57 would have because slapping a 6th gen logo is good for sales the only thing different about it would be the three stream cycle engine and that is it. I was hoping the NGAD would be a hypersonic interceptor like the PAK-DP.

it depends on who's on the receiving end. If it's Ukraine (singular), this applies. But if you're talking NATO, not only Russia lacks the quality, it lacks the quantity as well. Even Norway has more operational 5th gen fighters than the Russian air force.

A scenario where Ukraine enters NATO would render whatever advantage Russia has vis a vis Ukraine redundant and they know that.
