To be exact, Koreans have a religion on the outside. But Koreans are not obsessed with religion in their daily lives. Most Koreans sometimes have a religion due to coercion from their parents when they are young, but when they become adults, they naturally move away from religion.

Even Korean Muslims don't keep praying five times a day. When I lived in Turkey, there were Turks like this. They introduce themselves as Muslims, but they said they drink alcohol and don't pray every day

Traditional superstitions and religious problems occur more in older people than in younger people in Korea. Religion accounts for very little in most ordinary Koreans' daily lives.

Far East basically sees religion in a different way due to their philosophy and culture compared to the Middle East and Europe where religion basically is part of daily lives.

Traditionally, Koreans are not familiar with religions such as Christianity and Islam because since Buddhism was known on the Korean Peninsula through China 1600 years ago, numerous dynasties in Korea have rejected other religions. Because of this religious problem, Korea once fought a war with the United States and France.

I guess you mean some dynasties prefer Taoism and some for Buddhism, that happened repeatedly in Chinese dynasties. Confucianism is not really a religion, it's an ideological teaching coexisting with Buddhism and Taoism throughout the history.

After the fall of Goryeo Dynasty and the birth of the Joseon Dynasty in 1393, Confucian ideas became the fundamental ideology of Joseon.

From this time on, almost all dynasties in Korea excluded other ideology, including Buddhism, and valued Confucian thought.

This made Joseon a more closed country.

During this period, Koreans made their national consciousness stronger that they should join forces in war or national crisis situations.

After the Korean War, since the 1960s, Korea has realized that the United States can no longer protect Koreans and has been developing its own weapons since 1970.

If put in European, Korea would not be a small country, it will be a bigger than average country in Europe. In east Asia it is a small country, but it amazes many by its incredible achievements despite its small size and population.
What impresses the Chinese young people the most is Korean dramas, check out this video, an Korean lady and her Chinese husband visit Kashgar old town, some teen girls are shocked knowning the lady is actually a Korean, they love Korean dramas so much to the point that they learn Korean language by themselves and can talk to the Korean lady with their self taught Korean.
