I don't know how to feel about this, but consider this:
In all other cities in which clashes are taking place, there were no problems with evacuation, because there were corridors that were controlled by Ukraine. Only in Mariupol, which is completely surrounded, all attempts to create a green corridor failed until the last days. Attempts to deliver food to Mariupol from the unoccupied part also failed.
There is another consideration. The Russians need to seize Mariupol at all costs in order to hide the traces of the crime in the drama theater they destroyed (in which 1000 people took refuge). It is assumed that they will capture Mariupol, conduct their "investigation" there and blame the "Azov" regiment for everything. Allegedly, "Azov" blew up the building.
