If you do not know it is become FACT that Ukraine keep destroyed 17 time in row main SUPPLY depot of russians fighting in Mikolaev ..............
I think Ukraine startegy is to exhaust russians soldiers and russian supply located in" Kherson International Airport" there. I mean Ukraine already had so many chances to get in the town Kherson but Ukraine do not do that. I just wonder why but now I think it is better to exhaust russian supply and make russians to suffer on this front

This way it keeps Ukraine nimble and flexible.

Issue with taking "just" kherson directly and quickly means you can get stuck against the river more easily along with that marshland etc...say if Russians do a counter thrust (or they set a trap etc). Then you just lost bunch of guys and stuff you didnt need to.

It should be done only if there is a major follow up plan to take back more territory (where terrain then turns to be more suitable for your guys to plan and execute more etc). Otherwise there is little sense to taking just the town and that delta area.

So it probably best Ukraine waits, keep bleeding the Russians here (and let Russians deal with the unfavourable marshy area etc)....and wait for more allied-assets to augment their forces well along with the best concerted strategy they plan with NATO intel+analysis help etc.

i.e Ukraine needs the proper assured force concentration for southern ukraine area more broadly....and till that time comes just focus on best targets of opportunity to punish the Russian forces and their logistics....as Russia will wear down as its replenishment ability (both material and grunts) will continue to keep dropping.

If Russians present an extra opportunity by some salient created by unsound push etc, it can be explored to be destroyed punitively in tactical way if it makes sense too.

Ukraine needs to get all its ducks in a line as possible and be the total opposite of Russian oafish doctrine as possible.

Nothing wrong with the statement, nobody claimed that the drones win the war alone, nor do tanks, artillery or planes for that matter.
I dont know how the twitter troll comes to the conclusion that drones are useless, just comparing what Bayraktars costs against the damage they caused will tell you they are one of the most effective weapons available in ukraine.
.....weapons are made more ''efficient'', deadly, etc when they are used in combined arms ...it's the whole system that wins a war:
communication
logistics
arty
infantry
air
drones
intel
etc

A powerful blow from the Russian UR-77 in Ukraine. The Russian military, in the battles in Ukraine, began to use installations for demining, for strikes against the enemy. The UR-77 "Meteorite" mine-clearing installation, also known as the "Snake Gorynych", was created on the basis of the 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer and is designed to make moves in anti-tank minefields during the battle. The UR-77 "Meteorite" installation, with the help of rockets, fires powder charges placed in hoses at a distance of about 500 meters. After that, the car drives back, the hose with the charge is stretched and it is activated. One of the episodes of the combat use of the UR-77 in Ukraine was caught on video

Russians and Armenians tend to feel pride in bombing and killing civilians. I've not seen this anywhere else in the modern world.

Greatest support for Ukraine came from the Baltics countries along with the Nordic that's including Sweden, Norway and Finland, Poland and followed by the Anglo Saxon sphere countries then France, Italia, Spain Netherlands and Belgium. But don't know why those mainland German speaking countries (Germany, Austria especially and Swiss) is quite supporting for the Russian some in the name of neutrality
I think this is due to the fact that the Baltic countries, Poland were previously part of one state, the Commonwealth, and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has Ukrainian roots in the family.
Germany was the losing side in 2 wars, so some part of their brain wants to be independent from the Anglo-Saxon democracy, believes that Germany is occupied.

The following article is written in Russian but I google translated it to give us all an insight of what Russian media is thinking about Turkey's policies right now. Very, very interesting.

Turkey imposes covert sanctions against Russia over Ukraine

Turkey has closed its airspace to Russian aircraft flying to Syria. This decision concerns not only military but also civil aviation. What prompted Ankara to take such a step, how is it connected with the events in Ukraine, and how will such a decision affect the supply of the Russian group in Syria?

Turkish airspace for Russian aircraft flying to Syria is closed. This was announced yesterday by Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu. According to him, President Tayyip Erdogan warned Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin about this. The diplomat also noted that Ankara "is negotiating with the Russian Federation through dialogue, the implementation of the Montreux Convention, as well as through other issues."

However, Turkey still refuses to impose sanctions on Moscow against the backdrop of a special military operation in Ukraine. Cavusoglu argues that in this regard, Russian companies can continue to do business in Turkey, while complying with local legislation and international law.

Turkey has previously declared its readiness to follow the Montreux Convention . At the same time, Cavusoglu noted that the country would not be able to ignore the sanctions if such a decision was made by the UN. In addition, Turkey has repeatedly confirmed its desire to be directly involved in the settlement of the crisis in Ukraine.

Among other things, Ankara offered Istanbul as a platform for negotiations on a peaceful settlement of the situation. At the same time, after two rounds of negotiations, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Minsk should be considered as the main negotiating platform.

Against this background, Erdogan announced negotiations with the presidents of Russia and Ukraine. On Sunday, a telephone conversation with Vladimir Zelensky already took place. In a conversation, Erdogan announced his readiness to act as a guarantor of Ukraine's security. He also stressed the need to evacuate the wounded and civilians from Mariupol. It should be noted that against the backdrop of Erdogan's peacekeeping initiatives, Turkey continues to actively supply weapons to Ukraine, including Bayraktar drones.

According to experts, Turkey's decision will not have a critical impact on the supply of the Russian group in Syria. However, such a move has an obvious political meaning and can be interpreted as Erdogan's dissatisfaction with the fact that Moscow has de facto refused to hold talks with Ukrainian representatives in Istanbul, choosing Minsk for this .

“Turkey is trying to oppose Russia, but in such a way that Moscow is not offended. Ankara, for example, does not like the improvement in the situation in Syria, as well as the strengthening of Damascus' position in the region. This is an attempt to tie up Russia's actions in different theaters of military-political actions and support Zelensky," Associate Professor of the Department of Political Science and Sociology of the Russian University of Economics named after V.I. Plekhanov, a member of the expert council of "Officers of Russia" Alexander Perendzhiev.

“On the other hand, Ankara is trying to act as an independent player and increase its own geopolitical role.

Turkey pursues its own interests in Ukraine. And, apparently, they run counter to the interests of the United States and NATO. For us, Turkey has never been a reliable partner, the balance in our relations is contradictory, and only in matters of the economy does Erdogan act to the benefit of everyone,” Perendzhiev is sure.

Doctor of Military Sciences Konstantin Sivkov admits that Turkey's actions will affect the interaction between Moscow and Damascus. “In fact, this is a hidden form of imposing sanctions on Moscow, although Ankara officially declares that it does not intend to resort to restrictions,” Sivkov told the VZGLYAD newspaper.

The interlocutor is also sure that these restrictions are "a serious threat to Russia's security." “Now the only air route we have left to Syria is Iran. Our aviation will have to make a certain detour, spend more fuel and more time. This complicates the solution of problems in the region,” Sivkov explained.

At the same time, Andrei Kortunov, director general of the Russian International Affairs Council, does not expect any serious consequences as a result of Ankara's decisions, although such a move cannot be called friendly. “Russia and Turkey have a number of fundamental differences over Syria. We are talking about the future of Idlib and the situation in the Kurdish regions. All this can exacerbate the contradictions between us,” the interlocutor explained.
Kortunov also drew attention to the fact that Turkey still adheres to the Montreux Convention, not letting ships of other countries into the Black Sea. “Turkey is trying to pursue its own policy. Obviously, these decisions do not affect Russia so much, but at the same time they directly affect it,” Kortunov added.

In turn, orientalist Kirill Semenov believes that Turkey has taken such a step, "for which Russia cannot even reproach it." “A NATO country provided military supplies for a state hostile to NATO and did not break the agreement, but fulfilled it to the end, but simply did not extend it,” the expert notes.

But Turkey can use such a step as an argument in response to the claims of the United States and other NATO allies, who accuse Ankara of insufficient efforts to isolate Russia.

“Here [she] sort of did it, despite the fact that this has nothing to do with the events in Ukraine,” he added . Semenov also believes that Turkey's decision "is not a big problem" for Russia, "since the bulk of the cargo needed for the Russian grouping is delivered by civilian ships, for which the Black Sea straits are still open."

“Personnel and even entire units with weapons can still arrive in Syria through the airspace of Iran and Iraq. And in the event of a military threat, large contingents of troops can be transferred there in the same way, following the example of how a Russian group was deployed within the framework of the CSTO in Kazakhstan in January, ”concluded Semenov.
