You know better, you're a couch expert.
I hate to tell you this but you have absolutely no idea or any clue how sensor fusion works and at this point this is just coping. Just because an infrared sensor spotted a rocket 1300kms away means a radar can see a rocket 1300kms away but at a closer range. And just so you know the radar came 1 year later on the F-35 when the F-22 received its 4th gen radar in 2007. The F-22 had a 400km range (200km something for radar beam of 120 degrees)only with a 2 degree by 2 degree radar beam and all of a sudden you think that a radar being introduced a year later will get more than 3 times the radar range of the F-22. Can you just quietly take the L for this without further embarassing yourself? 1300kms is achieved with BMs, 30km+ with aircrafts, 200 miles with radar. if it spots a rocket 1300kms away a pilot will see that on infrared but no magic would be pulled out of his ass like you believe that he can track it on radar from 1300kms away. However he can track a target on infrarred and radar if the target comes at a closer range if that is what your video is saying.Correct, the only information we've got is he tracked an object at ~200 miles. Does he meant that is the maximum track range of the APG-81 ? No way to tell.....
otoh... This shows APG-81 and DAS tracking at almost the same time. Reportedly at the time of testing, the range is around 1300km.
Is Northrop bullshitting here ??
The conversation that was earlier was I said that the irbis was more powerful than the apg-70 or F-16 radar and if the Irbis can spot the same target but at a farther range than I still stand corrected that the Irbis has a more powerful radar.hehe, first of all we're talking about SAR capabilities, not air-air tracking capabilities LOL. in which the IRBIS reportedly able to give a resolution of around 3m at a range we don't know and the APG-70 also with a resolution of around 2.6m also at a range we don't know.
So until we know the specific spec on both, there's no way we could say which one is the better one.
in post #12,748 yo mention this:
safe to say you're mixing the air-air detection data with the SAR resolution....lol
I will post just this and no more.
Is there any Russian who is aware of what's going on or do they all have selective blindness?
Mariupol might be the renaissance of Ukrainian nation building.Mariupol defenders will be remembered as heroes and courage and determination will be associated with them. Cut off from the rest of Ukraine for months,a city leveled to the ground, resisting assaults from the hordes of kadyrovs,dnr/lnr and russian troops.
Well it seems they are starting to open their eyes and entering a new phase were "appears we are fighting in a conventional war in Ukraine and doing nothing more than loosing people and tanks"Is there any Russian who is aware of what's going on or do they all have selective blindness?
