@TheInsider any new news about the operation? I have a feeling that Erdo will end up cancelling the operation just like in the past
Operation is a go I phoned one of my friends in the area and he said they received mission orders(görev emirleri). The operation has been going on unofficially. Really important targets were hit last week. Now expect an official start at any time.

Come on guys stop it please with this distortion of history

Unless you find it agreeable that anything with a relation to Germanic, Teutonic, Ostrogoths and the Visigoths belongs to or represents Germany
Ottomans were the direct descendants of Seljuks and Seljuks were ruling Syria nearly a thousand years ago. The last 1000 years of the history of Syria can be summarized as one Turkish state taking over the control from the other because of various reasons.

Qara Qoyunlu, Aq Qoyunlu, Mamluk Sultanate and previously other Turkish Beyliks? You think the Ottomans were the only Turkish states at that time?

View attachment 44657

Of course they do, they are exceptionally ignorant and are only happy to push their narrative.

It was the Turks who liberated what is syria from the crusader states and it was the Turks who defeated the mongols in Syria. ironically the crusader christians and mongols allied to try and defeat the Turks.

By the way Egypt back then was called Turkiye by the Turkic rulers.

Okay guys, being new in this forum it is enlightening for me to see the reactions - especially the last post.

So thanks for your contributions - and I won't bother you fellows on that matter anymore - promise.

Syria after all was Turkish land for a thousand years

shockingly ignorant.

1200px-Seljuk_Empire_locator_map.svg.png

about a thousand years ago the seljuks Turks sweep in, bar a few short periods what you call syria today would be ruled and populated by Turks up until world war one.

The last time prior that europeans entered these lands it was the Turk baybars who defeated and removed their oppressive occupation.

Since you know next to nothing about the land, its people and its history, its best not to make foolish comments on it.

A thousand years of the Turks shedding their blood to keep these lands free, today the european tells us they should go to the kurds, who the Turks allowed to migrate from iran to these lands in the first place 500 years ago under sultan selim. Even back then Iran was ruled by Safavid Turks.

Thats why i say i tire of the agenda, a rational response would have been i didnt know this history, can you tell me more. Nope he goes straight for the sarcastic comment without realising his comment exposed his ignorance and his position against the Turks.

That map and your comment shows how little you know of Turkish presence in the Middle East. Memluks of Egypt were a Turkic Dynasty that ruled Syria 1250 to 1517. Before that the Turkish Great Seljuk Empire ruled big part of Syria 1037-1194.

It may actually be even longer then a thousand years since the Tulunid dynasty was also Turkic.

they date from 856 AD.

Those Seljuks from a 1000 years ago have as much to do with today's Turkey, as today's Greek with Agamemnon or his brother in Mykene. - nothing

There are no places in Minor-Asia that haven't been occupied by others before being conquered by e.g. Romans, Byzantines, Seljuks or Mongols - as such today's Turkish people are a mix of everything. Looking at history in regards to e.g. white sheep's and black sheep's contra Ottomans - even belonging to the same Turk immigrant roots they been warring and killing each other for centuries.
It was the Ottoman Turk who conquered and as such united all kinds of Turk tribes and loads of non Turk tribes and kingdoms.
And the great Saladin Ṣalāḥ al-Dīn Yūsuf ibn Ayyūb, btw. was a Kurd. And it was his Ayyubid dynasty that controlled Egypt, Syria, Lebanon etc. and not some Turk tribe.
And before him there was a Hārūn al-Rashīd ibn Muḥammad al-Mahdī ibn al-Manṣūr al-ʿAbbāsī, of the Abbasid caliphate (actually a Persian) who drove of the Umayyad dynasty.

As I said please don't distort history

its you whose distorting history, you want to ignore over a thousand years of Turkic history, because you have a fetish to give a terrorist organisation some lands.

BTW Saladin served in the Seljuk army, his army was comprised mostly of Turks. Even then his rule was minor compared the Turkic rule of the region which eclipses it by about 900 or so years in length.

"In time, Saladin rebelled against Nur ad-Din, and, upon his death, Saladin married his widow and captured most of Syria and created the Ayyubid dynasty. On other fronts, the Kingdom of Georgia began to become a regional power and extended its borders at the expense of Great Seljuk.
And yes others had egypt before the Turks and others had egypt before the arabs all the way back going thousands of years. The point is you place lots of weight on pkk terrorists, but want to ignore a thousand years of Turkic history in the same lands."

Saladin actually betrayed the Seljuks Turks in which his position and status was initially given to him by the Turks. Kurds being given status and prestige via the Turks only to betray them has happened a few times in history.

If the PKK were not committing terrorists attacks against Turkey and looking to take Turkish lands, we probably wouldn't care too much about them in syria or iraq.

give it up man.

Its intereting though on the one hand you didnt know about the thousand years of Turkic history in those lands, but you were quick to bring Saladin and previous dynasties. That tells me you are entirely being selective.

Arab sources refered to the Mamluk state as Dawlat al-Atrāk/Turk, it was not called Mamluk.

do you know that what you think as the kurds of syria has a huge RED star in the middle of their emblem and they are a marxist leninist terror group or do you think that an ordinary kurd is willing and happy to live under such a marxist leninist groups rule. Forcing people to obey you under the shadows of guns does not give you any legitimacy or representative power.

Exactly - so why are millions of Kurds, and terrorist orgainsations placed in the same sentence or placed in the same barrel?
It's just like accusing millions of Irish to be IRA terrorists.

yes bringing in a proposal

I don't ignore or tolerate any terrorism and I don't play ignorant - i brought in a proposal - that's all

True

True - therefore Turkey's move to hand over occupied Syrian territory to form a Kurdish state would be a historic 1st time achievement.
Imagine China conquering/occupying parts of the Southern Philippines and then handing over that territory to the Moros and Sulu people, thus actively contributing to end decades of killings, piracy and terrorism.

But okay if you don't like the idea of forming a Kurdish state on Syrian soil - is okay with me.
About 8mio Muslims alone in Germany. And no Lobby party till now. Why? We have enough population in EU to create "Democratic Freedom Party" like pkk. What are we waiting for?

What would a Kürbistan means for that region?
Answer. WAR! for the next 100 years against Arabs, Persians and Turks. And the ultimate genocide of Kurds as a result.

Zengid Dynasty? Ayyubi and his uncle Shirukh were servants of Zengi. Egypt was subjugated by the Zengid Dynasty in 1168. Ayyubi used the power vaccum after Zengis death and took over Egypt and later expanded to Syria.

Nope - I proposed a Kurdish state on Syrian lands
And I had also mentioned before that it would be the job of the Turkish and Kurdish government to eliminate terrorists.
But unfortunately millions of Kurd's are according to you all terrorists.

Not really - but they are affiliated
The YPG was formed after the Qamishli uprising in 2004 by the PYD.
The PKK is affiliated with several pro-Kurdish political movements in other countries including the PYD and YPG in Syria, the PJAK in Iran, and the HPG in Iraq.

What is it that you are trying to forward? That millions of Kurd's are all terrorists?

@Jagdflieger

Nobody said that the Kurds were all terrorists. In fact the huge majority of Kurds doesn't share their view with the PKK / YPG.

What do you mean by not really? The majority of the higher ranked YPG members are from the PKK/HPG it was founded by them, Ferhat Abdi aka Mazloum Kobani himself was a member of the HPG and responsible for attacks in Semdinli late 90s. HPG is PKK's armed wing and not it's Iraqi branch, that would be PCDK.

You don't know what you talking all the time, do a research get your facts right or shut up.
