Indonesian airbase are very simple compared to other countries airbase. Not to mention most runways are dual use for civilian -military purpose.

I don't mind if we don't have HAS though. It's useless against deep penetration bomb. But imo, the planes need to be separated with individual hangar for safety reasons.

Agree, but then we need to provide inividual supporting equipment and man power for those single hangar set up Tho I do hope front line air base such as natuna, kupang, etc should be provided with single hangar system to minimize damage lost in the case of battle situation.

Well its all dillematic for our AU, purchase EWA will raise a question "do we have enough GCI, Fighters, naval assets, other alutsista that can communicate with it?". From my perspective the plan to have integrated network system (on-progress) and the purchase of 13 GCI are the right step for now. Dream list of frigates, Rafale/F15IDN, Submarine can have awesome force multiplier effect if followed by EWA. Billion dollar question is which one goes first and do we have enough budget to acquire it in the right time manner? Well at least the plan is already there and some of it are already on the move

its just not how the thing work, you cannot compare a person with low budget that able to buy AUDI compared to other person that can only bought Honda. they have different doctrine, problem and propaganda. if you mentioned Chile, they still posses M4A3 in their active service.

Indonesia meanwhile, before go to buy AEW &C, did the other infrastructure is sufficient ? integrated link shared communication, data encription ? based on its name AEW&C is a representation of flying headquarter, act as an eye, ear, brain of the entire theater, i will be useless if we have brain but not have enough muscle to make stuff done.

The lesson in pitch black practice a few years ago taught us that without the support of AEW&C we always lose in BVR games with several other participating countries even though we use SU30/27&F 16, maybe that's our consideration for the acquisition of AEW&C to increase BVR capabilities in our air fleet
