Is there actually really a world wide shortage in regards to wheat? any people actually starving due to this so far?
Or is it more a matter of paying higher prices - due to other producers taking advantage?
Just like oil and gas - there is absolutely no shortage in Germany - yet prices have been driven up around 50% so far and are predicted to rise another 40%.
Even though alternative sources only differ in price to around 15-20%.
In China there isn't any oil or gas shortage either but prices have risen around 15-20%.-which would actually match other sources prices. Even tough China has not drawn additional oil/gas from alternative sources.
But oil/gas underlies the US $ controlled spot-market
I am open for comments - thanks, especially towards wheat - since I honestly got no idea/information towards this
