Nah, Chinese UAV program actually moving faster, and i am suspected they are very capable and have the industrial strength to overwhelmed the Western countries in this aspect alone. If any of you said the Iranian UAV is already good just like what happened in Ukraine today, the Chinese actually far far more capable than that, as China being utilized their own Baidu navigation system, has strength in processor components and optical industry and much more capable in electronic system along with their aviation industry as a whole.

" In addition, buyer credit guarantees for Indonesia were supplied for the acquisition of Lockheed Martin C-130J Hercules medium transport aircraft (maximum liability of GBP74.6 million) and air-defence systems from Thales UK (maximum liability of GBP29.8 million). "

UKEF supported the financing of C-130J Hercules aircraft for Indonesia during 2020

They did finance and provide the loan for those 5 units backthen, idk what we are going to do about ex-RAF made available for sale of Super Hercules, they're disposing them and back in 16 or 17, Bangladesh bought a number of them, we might go for similar scheme and get another UKEF loan but that only happens when MoD made a request and MoF approved the scheme.

I don't think we gonna have much hurdle domestically if we request it (apart from "duitnya ada gak?" problem).

That Mirage deal already proving "no more second hand aircraft" policy a BS.

How old are ex-RAAF C-130s when we received them?

From Wikipedia
The long-serving C-130As were replaced by new Hercules in the late 1970s; twelve C-130Hs were ordered in June 1976 for a cost of $A86 million, and deliveries took place between July and October 1978 ....so they are already 35 years old back then

I do think they are worth every dime and Penny, i mean those Ex RAF Hercules as most of them are C-130J 30 (extended Fuselage variant) and not too old airframe, as they are only coming in 1998/1999. Well compared to the Australian old guys....

Exactly the reason why I compared it with the ex-RAAF (it will be more interesting to discuss if we have other data such as flying hours, etc)

British C-130Js are definitely much more modern than our Cold War era herky (glass cockpit, HUD, NVG compatible, etc)
