Did you asked about the radar?

This is the answer i got from my questions to one of PT PAL official:

- This is not the final design. The length would be 140 meter.
- All VLS module at the bow will be moved to the center of the super structure just like the original Iver Huitfeldt
- CMS will be from Havelsan
- AShM will be Brahmos
- SAM will be Aster (but still need the greenlight from MBDA)
- Radars still to be determine

Talking about ugly, the PAL designed AH140 is Imho, the ugliest modern (upcoming) surface combatants there is. It just doesn't seems right trying to force a Sigma-esque design to an Iver Huidtfeldt/Arrownhead.


I hope it's final spec compensate for its ugliness .

At this point just take atmaca and Naval Hisar or something.

Anything can be integrated as long the manufacturer of that item is providing necessary tools, libraries, equipments etc. MICA NG will be integrated for Ukranian Ada class that runs on Advent, Albatros - NG (CAMM-ER) will be integrated on Pakistan's corvette project.

This doesn't make sense in many ways, but anyway. At least design a proper FAC or OPV - Corvette before a heavy frigate, can't they?

How are they determining VLS length before acquiring greenlight from the OEM?
How OEM can give a greenlight without knowing the radar suite?
