The C/Compact segment is about half of the new auto market in Turkiye. If you want something a bit decent and not a tin-vehicle, one of the cheapest SUV, for example, is the Peugeot 2008's(B segment) most empty model. Its starting price is 750,000 TL. Qashqai and CR-V are roughly 1 million. Even crossover models in B segment start at 650,000 TL. For higher-end brands and models with the same premium equipment and Ncap standard as the Togg, the starting figures reach up to 3 million. C-segment full electric vehicles also start above 1/1,2 million TL without exception.

If Togg can offer a EuroNCAP 5-star and fully electric C-segment SUV with the equipment they mentioned for less than 900,000 TL, I think the demand will be high. I know it's ridiculous, but no matter how crazy the car prices are in our country, people don't postpone their car purchases. There are two reasons for this, first, the automobile is considered as an asset purchase and its investments are protected against inflation. The second reason is that people like to show off and see their automobile as an indicator of their status( I know it is ridiculus but it is a fact). In our country, household incomes are declining in real terms against exchange rates, but purchasing parity is still strong. So we can reach easily much more loan utilizations according to real income. Moreover, since vehicle financing for Togg will be supported by the state, it will be much more attractive than other vehicle financing.

In short, contrary to the general opinion, I think that if this vehicle is competitively priced, buyers will wait in the order queue for months. Even now, when you want to buy a vehicle in the desired configuration in the 1 million TL band, you wait for a minimum of 2 months. With the last law change, some legal obstacles were introduced to prevent this (such as 6 months and 6,000km), but many global factors, especially related to the chip crisis, are still ongoing. All state banks will announce special financing packages for this vehicle. If public institutions also start buying, this brand will only be able to meet domestic demand for first years.

Turks living in Europe will be the main customer base for the export, because only they can afford it as middle class! In Turkiye, only rich or corrupt people will be able to drive/ buy Togg, Turkish middle class won't be able to afford it for many years.. Turks in Turkiye might afford Günsel, which has been delayed mysteriously.. some rumors are surfacing that so called some guys said how could you produce a car before launching ceremony of our national car being made, or most probably financial reasons put a hold on project. Hopefully it will be a true middle class car for Turks.

a friend here pre ordered one.. he said it should be ready next year.. lets see :)

I wish our state to do the same with Togg in the automobile as it did in the motorcycle.

The presentation states that 1 million vehicles to be produced by 2030 will contribute more than 50 billion dollars to the entire automotive industry and more than 7 billion dollars to reducing the current account deficit. This part may give an idea about how the Togg SUV will be priced and what the export target is.

1 million vehicles to be produced each year by 2030 or 1 million vehicles in accumlation by 2030? Either ways, that is an ambitious target for an unknown brand. I might say a bit too optimistic when Gurcan Karakas, CEO of TOGG, admits to Bloomberg that the initial target is to produce 17,000-18,000 C-SUV’s in 2023 and increase output only gradually (175,000 units per annum if the plant reaches its full capacity). That means TOGG has to sell about 135,000 units per year from 2024 until 2030 to reach its target, which seems unrealistic. At least, TOGG has made a correct decision and produces EV only from a get-go unlike Vinfast of Vietnam which made a mistake by manufacturing ICE at beginning and is now losing about a billion of dollars for its transition into a EV-only brand. Yet, Vinfast is even more ambitious wit its target of selling 750,000 EV annually by 2026. I doubt both national projects will be a success story, but we shall see how they fare in the global market in future.

And the unavoidable follower question "what motorcycle?".
I wanted to create a motorcycle brand similar to the Togg initiative. As you know, our country has turned into a poor quality Chinese motorcycle dump. It is very expensive in quality European, Japanese motorcycles. A Togg is a must for motorcycle lovers and riders.

OK then, you meant,

" I wish our state to do the same in the motorcycle as it did with Togg in the automobile."

Not the state but some private companies are trying to do a similar job but I gues they are moving rather slowly.

The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev was also amazed by the local car Togg, which got off the band at the ceremony held in the past days. It was learned that Aliyev called President Erdoğan and conveyed his congratulations and ordered this vehicle for himself. Haberler.com

I wish vehicle sales would start in Azerbaijan at the same time as Turkey.

The video you've been waiting for <🧿🇹🇷🧿>

A video that will upset many trolls on social media who have been tirelessly saying that the factory does not exist and that there is no production since days:

Togg is a successful project regardless of what other idiots say.... Period! I still remember many within Turkey itself from many opposition parties like the CHP who once sent some of their deputies to visit Togg factory during its construction and they stated and I quote: "We dont need Togg s8nce its redundant due to the fact that we have Hyndai, Renault, Ford etc within the country"..... this is the degree of ignorance that top opposition politicians and their circles have

Another faction who criticise Togg are Westerners and Chinese who dont want to see Togg take a share of the Westerner and Chinese monopoly on the automobile field! This field is worth TRILLIONS of dollars and its future is bloody bright tbh; thus, they dont want to see a portion of their pie taken by Turkey as Togg's cars are actually quite good as far as I heared

This reminds me of when Chinese media users started attaking Turkey when it announced the major mineral reserves it found early this year; when such ppl feel threatened, they normally start to attack and accuse you of ridiculous claims which is normally a sign that you are going on the right path

Well TOGG is not a bad project but if the price will be same with the other cars in the same segment, why bother to buy one? Most of the population can not afford it anyway.

those t.i.n.o's used to be subtle. now they dont even bother to ease it into the people. just a heap of :poop: served raw, unadulterated and unfiltered.

decisive action needs to be taken against these psyop freaks. an MI5 grade internal intelligence organization with full powers is required.
