According to the agreement signed by TUSAŞ, Indonesia will provide engineers in many different disciplines for TUSAŞ's strategic projects. In a structure similar to the agreement made with British BAE system, Indonesian engineers will work for Turkish projects. Turkiye will benefit from Indonesia's qualified engineering culture. Similar agreements were made with Pakistan and Malaysia before.

PT Pindad (Persero) added a product line under the name Morino. At the Indo Defense Expo & Forum at JI Expo, the Morino MV Cruiser was introduced to the audience.

Morino itself is an abbreviation of Mobil Rekacipta Indonesia. According to the plan, the name Morino was created for Pindad's product line, which is more modern in shape, not rigid like Maung.

Azka Rizqi, Innovation Division of the Special Vehicle Development Department of PT Pindad said, the Morino MV Cruiser is a development of the Maung tactical vehicle.

The blade profile suggest that the sword is design to be use by infantry (dismounted). In what role the sword is originally used for?
That’s correct.
Every internet source will emphasize its service in Janissary corps, the elite Ottoman guard infantry, however it‘s a little romanticized and Hollywood-ish version since historians would point out that it was also used by both Anatolian and Rumeli regular infantry corps.

The blade is short, curved and no hilt guards (a common feature of most Islamic blades).
Not an expert but short and curved form suggests that it’s not a thruster but rather a swinger aim to strike blows at close quarters to smash and decapacitate one’s opponent
It’s one of those rare moments in history where historians agree to adhere a unique weapon‘s origin to a certain nation.

While firepower is one concern, size has its own perks, larger ship means more accomodations, more habitability, more endurance, more sensors etc.

The right balance is big ships with big firepower.

More ship means more crew, maitain, bigger chance to hit more money etc. I-class is the perfect balance, the western weapon factories are all going to smaller ships.

One big reason MoD doesn't bother to take South Korea solution for now. Korean peninsula condition is kinda Volatile lately, doesn't know where and when war is coming. Meanwhile Turkey although very close with Syria but they are relatively in more superior position and can dictate the condition there.

Automation is the key here, the Mogami's at 5000 tons has less crew (90) than the 2800 tons Martadinata (122). While the Baden Wurttemberg destroyer sized frigate at 8900 tons has less crew than many ships classified as pure frigate.

I'm not saying the Istif doesn't have the balance, but the idea that you could outdo a larger hull with a smaller one just doesn't sound right.

as for larger=easier getting hit. Mind that a US aircraft carrier, the USS Ranger once evaded a a whole task force trying to locate her in waters of Hawaii. We're not even getting into an actual physical contact yet, finding (let alone hitting) ships are hard to do in open ocean. That is for the crew and assorted electronics package to prove their worth, not hull size.

Also to note, it seems that in Europe only the French goes into the "small" route with the FDI. The F126, DDX and type 26a are all destroyers in all but name.

Imagine if USS Ranger was difficult to find, how much difficult it is a stealth I-Class to be found. I remember a former navy personal talked about the ships in the Turkish Navy, differences between Gabya what is ex Oliver Hazard and Meko. That OV was suitable for ocean sea and Meko not, ther is not much differences between the size and displacements. The MILGEM ships are designed for both sea's, the electronics and propulsion is getting stronger and smaller. Why not making the ship smaller and cheaper?

Excerpts.

Indonesian soldiers found what they were looking for in ZAHA

Stating that Indonesia's interest in this vehicle has continued for the last few years, Kaplan said:

"Last May, the Indonesian Marine Corps Commander visited Turkey and had the opportunity to examine our vehicle. We also conducted sea tests with him. When they arrived, they expressed that they liked the vehicle very much. There is a US solution with similar capabilities to this vehicle, but our vehicle is different from this vehicle. It has much superior features. The Indonesian army already has the vehicles I mentioned and they were very pleased when they saw ZAHA due to the troubles they had there and they expressed their desire to supply this vehicle very quickly. In this direction, we brought our vehicle to the fair and provided them with the opportunity to see it again. We have created an environment where we can discuss the details. Our hope is to turn it into a contract as soon as possible."

I thought they are going to use the budget for the BT-3F contract that had been cancelled or on hold due to CAATSA?

Hope the best then, at least they have around 400 million US Dollar fund to bought new amphibious armor back then before revision of Navy needs.

This is the same reason why the Air Force divert their allocation budget need for attack helicopters back then toward frontline fighter

Turkey will carry out the first export of long-range missiles to Indonesia

Kurtulus%CC%A7.jpeg

Highlighting ROKETSAN has a wide range of products in many fields including land, air and sea, Kurtulus said that they signed two new agreements in coordination with the Turkish Defense Industry Directorate, thanks to the trust shown by the Indonesian Ministry of Defense to Turkey and the Turkish defense industry.

"With the contract we signed, we will hand over our first product to the Indonesian Ministry of Defense in the near future," said Murat Kurtulus.

There are two separate deals. The first is Khan, the Ground-to-Ground Long Range Artillery System. This system is an important weapon system that is effective at a range of up to 280 kilometers and with high precision in the depths of the battlefield.

“We will give it to the Indonesian army for the first time. The second contract is about layered air defense. The condition of the Indonesian Ministry of Defense is different in this regard. We are developing a new model with our international business partners in this regard.”

“Here we introduce our first product of medium and long-range layered air defense systems as 2 separate systems. We will also discuss the close-range air defense system in the coming period."
