Germany put on blinders and followed a wrong policy towards Turkiye and imposed an embargo on us for engines. During field research and likely cooperation meetings on Turkiye's engine adventure, Representatives of German engine groups kept talking about how difficult diesel powerpack development process was and therefore they thought that Turkiye would probably never have this capability. That's why they used the engine card ruthlessly against Turkiye.
These policies have mobilized Turkiye and now we will emerge as a very strong opponent against them. Every country that they have embargoed for various politic excuses will now demand a meeting for Turkish engine and transmission group and the last obstacle to the sale of our strategic products that have to use German engines will be removed. When these engines come, I think we will sign billion $ sales deals in a single item in the tank, howitzer and IFV group. Germany has been very successful in producing strong rivals for itself.
