Phantom Ghost drone for Ukraine also used that IDIQ contract, nobody like us know how much drone is that, the public just know the budget for the contract. So basically that is a contract that has ceiling of how much money for the service or goods in certain amount of time.

For example, DoD put their contract of ammunition to me with the budget of $100 for 2 years. So on that 2 years, if DoD needs ammo they just can call me. How much ammo? Just me and DoD knows the actual number, you public just know the money spent for the contract $100.

Its very different, engine position is different and more importantly the approach is different, single welded hull vs double hull (inner and outer), well it is the same on using aluminium tho (inner hull for Harimau).
Although Turkey can implement some stuff they learnt from M113 to Harimau, but its not based from it.

lol, nope. They must have thought that since it has the name KAPLAN MT, then it must be based on KAPLAN AFV family which is based on the ACV series that were developed as an improved version of M113 (AIFV) and thus (conveniently) stated Harimau MT has M113 hull.

Too much of a stretch to call it has M113-based hull where they has nothing in common (rear engine, modular armor, hull profile, etc) me thinks.

For turret profile it's not surprising as the Cockerill C3000 series is a modular turret for multi caliber gun from 25-105mm and having much taller/deeper turret basket to accommodate indirect firing mode at 42 degrees of elevation. The Sabrah smaller turret profile and footprint could mean less space for the operator and equipment inside compared to Cockerill C3000 turret, but they could argue that less space = lesser area to be protected. It's all come back to specific country needs and requirements, they need to pick their preferred compromise between those point. Despite all those differences, they both has the same turret protection rating at STANAG 4569 level 5.

I personally see turret profile in this type of vehicle on today battlefield as non issue. Full size APFSDS/chemical round and anti-tank munition/missile will go through it easy anyways, unless it has a proper hard-kill APS, I don't think either will survive proper direct hit from said munition.

ASCOD is more properly compared to Badak, or Pandur. Kaplan/ Harimau is a real tank, not just APC with turret on top of it.

They have acquired a MT which is not truly a MT thus they have to justify that.

Only Kaplan-10 (STA) shares similarities to M113, and it is far improved in terms of crew protection compared to ACV series which is technically licensed M113.

Kaplan 20-30-NGAFV are independent development.

How can you put 10 ton + turret on M113 Hull?

Harimau definetely have different layout, different preotection. Yes you can say it's made from aluminium and use torsion bar suspesnsion. Other than that it's totally different.

As I recall, Harimau hull height is Around my height (175 to 180 cm) and harimau turret supper structure is less than 100 cm from hull supperstructure wich is considered low coz using Autoloader.

That Sabrah tank is bigger in dimension compared to Harimau.
