Is there a big order for Firtina?
When BMC power engine for fırtına will be ready?140+ Fırtına-II order is pending due to lack of powerpack.
You can not have that much rockets but you can have thousands of 155 mm artilleries. If you have the TRG/TRLG 122 and TRG/TRLG 230 guided artillery rocket systems, upgrading the 155mm howitzer systems will be your last concern. Especially when you have major weaknesses in air defense and missile defense systems. In this respect, I do not expect any improvement or new orders for T-155 Firtinas before 10 years. Maybe a company will complete the laser-guided 155 mm artillery ammunition business with its own funds.
True. Since there are so many unguided munitions to be converted into guided munitions, I already said that after 10 years, it will be time for these systems. You can not have that much rockets but you can have thousands of 155 mm artilleries.
So this is a very simple form of course correction fuse. I think it would be a very clever design if they're able to not only decrease velocity, but also divert the round by selectively applying the airbrakes. Though I think at that point it would be simpler to just add moving fins instead. Anyways, yes, even the US doesn't only use Excalibur. They have their own CCF as well. It's just that CCF are way less accurate than a full-blown guided shells and their usages are obviously different.Ukraine War has shown the importance of artillery in battlefield. Provided the accuracy of the rounds are increased with economical methods like ,

Aselsan “mesafece duzeltme” system, you can not beat the effect of an artillery barrage.
Unfortunately many artillery systems are not very accurate. And a great number of rounds are wasted. But at the same time spending 70+ thousand dollars for an Excalibur round is somehow can be seen as false economy unless you are taking out extremely strategic And important targets.
TRG and especially TRLG class of artillery rockets are not as cheap as standard artillery rounds either. But they are precision guided.
You can never have enough artillery systems. The more the merrier. We do need the extra 140+ on order as well. I am all for increasing the artillery rounds’ range to 60-70-90 km. I believe there is work being conducted in Turkey along these lines, that will increase the range of our artillery systems. @Cabatli_TR had already mentioned this in an earlier post.
Artillery Systems & Projects
Firtina howitzer rounds: It is aimed to increase the range of 40 kilometers to 56 kilometers in the first place and to 72 kilometers later. By the end of this year, the 56 km target will be reached. Source: AAdefencehub.live
