The engine development has to keep pace with MMU development. Otherwise, the issue still remains to be the biggest obstacle of the program.

If the revision of first flight date will push the date of the first delivery forward is still unknown. We're not even clear of PDR(not confirmed) yet, but we're trying to fly the plane by the end of the year. Desperate times will call for desperate measures. The risk has grown. I hope it will pay off by encountering the problems early on and have more time to resolve them.

Regardless of the ruling party, the US will deny us the engines once the program enters the serial production phase. I'm sure of this. We have to put an engine on the bench as soon as possible and wear it out.
I watched the interview. The first delivery target is still 2028. That means the prototypes will fly for 5 years before commissioning. They will test the aircraft through and through before delivering it to the customer.

This is weird though, i would expect the first delivery to also get updated.

Great news that TFX will fly at end of 2023 but the problem is its engines .
With this speed TFX can enter full production at early 2025 with f16 engines .
But will US sell its engines for mass produced TFX ? thats the question .
2025-2028 Turkey can produce some 50 TFX ( with f16 engines ) than 250 TFX with National more powerful engines between 2028- 2036 .

If asked which country in the world has not yet produced an indigenously designed fighter jet, but can fly a direct F-22 equivalent system in seven years and put it into service in ten-to-twelve years, many people would probably not think of TAI/Turkish aviation industry cooperation. Times are changing. Perceptions will also change.

People dont understand that it is not SpaceAlienRocket Science anymore for a country with at least 35 years of experience in the aviation industry.
The only real challenge is the engine which we will master in time.

The real grind has just begun. So far, the progress has been picture-perfect. But this shouldn't make us complacent in our abilities. We still have a lot of ground to cover. Lots of stuff to learn. You can only go so far with calculations, computer-aided designs and simulations. Now it's time to test which of our assumptions(engineering) still hold and which assumptions break. We can be sure that the aircraft we see now won't be the same with the production-ready model. It will have to be tweaked many times before it reaches the required specs.

We're not just building a 5th gen aircraft. We're building a world-class aerospace industry. It's a long journey.

That's exactly what it is. Personally, I always try to make this point. We are creating an whole industry and experienced labor force. The average age of white-collars in these projects is around 35. People naturally look at the MMU, but in fact the MMU itself is not an end-goal but an important step to put things on track. When the MMU is put into service, we will be able to say 'here begins a new era in Turkish aviation and industry'. From that point on, there will be no turning back.

I think this is the model he's talking about. Because when you look at its counterparts, this looks strange. Also, Tisu/Anka-3 is not yet produced, so what is it?:unsure:
