Personally i don't care if it was foreign design or local design, either it was Armored vehicles, warship, helicopters or even Jet fighter. What i am much concerned about is, how much local content we had for every defense item we build, from the engines, powertrain, drivetrain, socket, bracket, gun turret, barrel of the gun, computer, processor, propeller Blades and even the tiniest thing like bolts and screw.
very big question from you, another big question n very reletad with yours is, when does goverment stop buying alutsista in ngecer terms. its key if we want local content percentage develop.

It was not a contract but MoU signed for the frigates. Just same as the FPB that once rumored to be purchased from Turkish shipyards. And Turkish companies do not take MoUs signed with some Indonesian companies for granted anymore.
So thats why the Advent CMS didnt appear in the Indonesian SIPRI 2022,

fyi, the current incumbent KASAL have so much experience with submarine operation.

Yeah he even one of the latest batch of Pasopati crew and once served as Torpedo Room officer (or even the whole Whiskey class) in Indonesian Navy

And he is spent so much years of his active career aboard KRI Nanggala, and combined those factor with Personal grievance of Prabowo whose lost his nephew during incident i think unless miracle is happened South Korean would not get a slightest chance in near future.

for reference
Singapore need to spend US$ 1.8 billions for 4 units Invincible class along with training and logistics package
U218 should have been ordered and made directly in Germany, fast & without drama

Yet Korean Navy could use them effectively.

Before you pull some "deficiencies of Korean submarines in service with Korean Navy"; I do know them pretty well and i recommend you to read thoroughly of which parts were malfunctioning, belonging to whom and produced by whom.
