I think we have an idea what will the loadout beHavelsan CMS for Merah Putih Frigate.
Also MIDLAS VLS?
Are you sure that we will choose Turkish SAM?I think we have an idea what will the loadout be
both the HİSAR Family and the SİPER Block-I Missile will be launched from the National Vertical Launching System (MİDLAS), which was first announced to be used on the TCG Istanbul Frigate, and first firing tests will be carried out this year. It was stated that MİDLAS would be 30 cm longer than the Mk-41 Vertical Launching System (VLS) Tactical-length module (6.7m long), which is currently in service with the Turkish Navy.
HİSAR-RF SGTM Firing Test and the Differences Between the SİPER B1 Missile
On February 19, 2022, President of Defence Industries (SSB) İsmail DEMİR announced on his social media account that the HİSAR-O+ System successfully destroyed a target in the first firing test carried out with the RF (Radio Frequency) Seeker model. DEMİR said,www.defenceturkey.com
Not sure but options and guesses are open. Are you sure that we will choose Turkish SAM?
So we followed European Navy eh, big tonnage, fewer SAM.
With Hisar components for air force(Army?) SAM system being signed on, and the Advent CMS being chosen for A140s of Indonesia, I see that talks flared up again for Indonesia Navy to employ Turkish SAMs as well. Question: This so far is only guesses for a greater cooperation between Roketsan and Indonesia, right? I didn't see any signatures for the navy yet. We just wait for the A140 project to be finalized? Steel cutting for the first ship was made last year, you'd think the project would be fixed by now.Not sure but options and guesses are open.
Yes, this is just my wild guess, take it with a grain of salt.Question: This so far is only guesses for a greater cooperation between Roketsan and Indonesia, right? Were they already given greenlight the Merah Putih frigate weapon budget?Yes, this is just my wild guess, take it with a grain of salt.
I based my guessing with some points:
Yes it has already finished its first steel cutting, but our procurement of weapons and sensors usually comes later. The KCR-60 waited for 7 years before the missile is installed and the contract for the Terma C-Flex only become effective in 2019, 5 years after the first boat are commissioned.
- The choice of CMS which is Turkish
- The choice of VLS which the navy separate into two classes instead of adopting universal VLS. My guess is the MR SAM will be the VL MICA/MICA NG fired from the Sylver A35 VLS and the LR SAM will either use Sylver A50, but I'm not going to be surprised if they ended up with MIDLAS which is designed to fire the Siper LR SAM. We know that the MIDLAS is designed to fire the Siper at some point in the future. In the initial phase, the MIDLAS will give air defense capability to Turkish Navy ships by launching indigenous Hisar RF missiles. Later, SIPER Block-1 (a long-range air defense system) (src).
- There are other LR SAM as well like Aster 30 and Standard series missile, I have hope for the Aster 30 to be adopted but not much hope for the Standard's.
The Koreans use mostly F-16s and F-15s anyway so the KF-21 should be designed to operate together with the American fighters. It also has American components like the American engine and will be able to use American weapons. For the Rafale we would probably have to pay to integrate American weapons. And Korea
thats still MOU, midget sub and main ssk are different projects. So no scorpene but midget sub?
The Italian defense company, Drass Galeazzi Srl, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the shipbuilding company PT Republik Palindo, a subsidiary of Republikorp of Batam in Indonesia, for the joint production of DG 550 midget class submarines and autonomous attack submarine.
Midget-class submarines are 30-50 meter submarines, manned by a crew of 9 to 15 men with the ability to launch four torpedoes, lay mines and perform special forces infiltration missions.
This submarine (the DG 550) is able to perform agile maneuvers on the high seas and in restricted areas thanks to its relatively small body structure and is equipped with an Air Independent Propulsion (AIP) propulsion system.
For its part, the Autonomous Attack Submarine is an unmanned submarine platform that is used to carry out underwater reconnaissance missions and ambush missions for coastal vessels.
Drass Galeazzi Srl is an Italian company with over 100 years of experience in the construction of submarines and rescue boats.
"We are making this collaboration as our seriousness in supporting the technological independence of shipyards in Indonesia in the field of Midget-class submarines," Sergio Cappelletti, Chief Executive Officer of Drass Galeazzi Srl. told the local media crew as quoted in the official statement received from Kontan, Monday (29/5).
According to Norman Joesoef, founder of Republikorp, Indonesia needs more submarines to strengthen its maritime defense.
Within 2025. At least, if everything goes as expected in sea-trials.@Anmdt when will Mildas quad pack be available?
