Make a huge bomb makes 0 sense for Turkiye. It would be the great waste of money and engineering resources
A bunker-buster bomb similar to the GBU-57 would be very beneficial for Turkey against Israeli, and Iranian underground bunkers.

And how would you deliver them against Iran/Israel. Turkiye would not be able to establish complete air superiority against either country. Iran's air defence will be a problem and no chance you could fly in a c-130 to drop the bomb.

This is stupid from start to end.

Sooner or later such a missile would be relevant. What is the payload mass that the KAAN can carry? It seems like Israel will use the F15-EX for this particular task.

Establishing air superiority over Israel is already impossible. But it's not that hard for İran.If we are not going to be able to establish air superiority against the S300, Bavar373 and Su30, we should leave this job anyway .

Cenk and the sounding rocket (SR-1) have the same solid-fuel engine. The big missile (It seems like it has a 1250-1350mm diameter) we see in the video might be Tufan (Şimşek-1 launching vehicle).

Impossible is a bit too big of a praise. But its not something we could comfortably do right now of course. And who could say for sure in the future, amirite? 😉

Right now Israeli air force is superior to TurAF.

Wait for 10/12 KAAN squadrons to be inducted in TurAF service.

How do you know Irans air defence system is a problem?
S-300 is obsolete,Ukraine and Azerbaijan proved that already and how would the Bavar 373 would be any different?
Is there any proof?

Even if it is a competitor, it should be appreciated when it is appropriate. The layered air defense network they have makes it difficult to deter them. Not to mention the air force they have. They have as many F-16s as we do.They are better in quality than what we have. And since they are USA's little brother, they have less trouble integrating their own ammunition thinking of us.If we add the F15 and F35s to the equation, everything becomes more difficult. They also have systems like Lora and Jericho to deter us.As you said, there seems to be nothing we can do in the short term but in the medium-long term, we can bring this to a balance indeed. One of the things that needs to be done is to develop a doctrine that will cost expensive air defense missiles with a large number of false targets and support it with long-range anti-radiation missiles. They have a weak navy.Necessary deterrence can be provided by the Reis class submarines that will be completely included in the inventory in the short term and the cruise missiles that can be launched from these submarines. For the air force, as Afif said, we have to wait for the Kaan fleets to step in. But even if we have 10-12 fleets of Kaan, we cannot talk about a complete superiority. Until Kaan arrives, the most logical move would be to lay our southern border with Siper and its components.

That's the issue, no body knows how their indigenous systems will perform.
It could go either ways.
They are like the liar shepherd in the story. Therefore, it is necessary to approach everything Iran does with caution, it can be probably Acem palavrası.(Not counting ballistic missiles.)

So i wanted to inform me about the GBU-43/B (MOAB) and was watching this video. Guess what, Roketsan took some scenes from the documentary "Weapons At War - Smart Bombs History Channel". But why?

Look from 0:34 to 1:00.

Have you seen it work, videos anywhere?

There are some successful test firing videos in YouTube.

For actual combat experience, they shot down an RQ-4 global hawk (cost 200 millions each) in 2019.
In my opinion, their defensive systems are not as much capable as their offensive missile systems. Current TurAF inventory should be capable enough to defeat Iranian air defence networks.

But then again, it is not the about TurAF vs Iranian air defence networks only.

If war breaks out, let’s remember Iran is a radical unconventional state who will throw kitchen sink to compensate their conventional weakness.

Iran has thousand of ballistic missiles, which can cause immense damage to Turkey's military and civilIan infrastructures. (As current Turkish air defence systems are simply not capable enough to handle them)

I am not really concerned about Bavar 373 but rather they vast array of highly mobile medium altitude SAM systems. Hard to take them out and be certain that an area is cleared for more vulnerable platforms.

When nearly the entire middle east is trying to bury us, especially the arab nations who had no issues inviting Assad back into the Arab league, us Turks would have to be insanely stupid to start a war with Isreal, let the arabs fight that fight. They hated Ottoman rule, they can enjoy an Isreali master instead. Our fight with Isreal should only extend so far as they involve themselves in our security concerns, like dealings with the PKK. Outside of it, leave them and the Arabs to their fate.
