The company that X uses to verify its user's ID is an Israeli company founded by members of Shin Bet's unit 8200!
The company responsible for verifying people's ID on X is called "AU10TIX".
The CEO of AU10TIX, Ron Atzomn, was a member of Shin Bet's unit 8200. For those who don't know, Shin Bet is Israel's main intelligence strike force.
Shin Bet is responsible for providing 90% of Israel's intelligence material. It doesn't stop there however. AU10TIX was founded in 2002 as the technology arm of a dutch firm called "ICTS international".
ICTS international was established in 1982 ALSO by former members of Shin Bet.
Why is the company that X uses to verify its user's ID so connected with the Israeli intelligence unit Shin Bet with the CEO and founder being a former member of Unit 8200!?
I would ban foreign social media altogather. I did warn years ago when I saw even TRT pimping their social media accounts when they came out. It is time for us to make our own and not let even small leaks in.
Not a desirable solution. Existing social media networks should be subverted to serve our will instead.I would ban foreign social media altogather. They have 17x the population we have hence the more power to demand compliance. They also have local alternatives to choose from which we don't. We have to create local alternatives immediately as they are our life savers. Not a desirable solution. Existing social media networks should be subverted to serve our will instead.
Like how CCP has enough leverage on YouTube to order demonetization and age-restriction on anti-CCP content.
Our usage generates way, WAY more revenue for them though. You can't even use Twitter and YouTube in China, let alone advertise on it.They have 17x the population we have hence the more power to demand compliance. Under peacetime conditions you may think that allowing them is plausable but peacetime is not indefinite. Socialmedia gets weaponized and using it becomes surrendering to the enemy. Foreign socialmedia is like poison administered in small doses, it will make you sick and you won't even know it. SM should be considered as an utility that must be served by the public sector and can be charged a small amount by telecom companies and be served with a small dose of commercials. Remember if they are not selling a product the product is you.Local alternatives should be encouraged for leverage purposes, but that should be the most of it.
I get your viewpoint, and you're right about it. We are aiming for different, but equally beneficial things.Under peacetime circumstances you may think that allowing them is plausable but peacetime is not indefinite. Very nice

Based Musk, is just bowing to the next Ottoman Sultan. Nothing wrong with that.
This is how the world worked when you don't have your own. 95% of western media working for the same powers. As there were no alternatives you had to go with them. But it is weponized now and you have to shake them off. Content creators can serve their media on multiple platforms, I have no doubt, and which they are already doing right now.Globalization is a thing also in the cyber space. You can't limit globalization in social media and media at all unless you want to be at the level of North Korea. Look at how many Turks are using X/Twitter, Meta, Google services. They are not using it to watch Ahmet and Mehmet but to have a touch with humans and their content all around the world. Who would watch Mehmet's show or TRT while there are much more, wider variety and better overall content creators around the world? If you decide to up the game how would you bring these content creators to your platform? Are you going to pay them from the State's budget? This will not work at all.
Instead of becoming more authoritarian Turkiye should concentrate on good foreign policy, business investments in the field and heavier lobby initiatives. This is how the world works.
Welcome to the internet!
This sounds like a permanent state of martial law. Banning and restricting content is not the way to go. Isolating yourself from the world is not the way to go. Your own citizens would lynch you if this happens. Instead be a globally recognized brand. This is how the world worked when you don't have your own. 95% of western media working for the same powers. What Turkiye needs is power and money, not isolation. Turkiye is not Russia, China, North Korea and these countries are not an example Turkiye should follow. This is wrong.
This is right.
Why would they post on your platform? Is there one compelling reason to do so?It does not mean isolation.
Foreign individuals can still access your media and share content but it is you who will decide if they intend misinformation and manipulation and block insincere content. Content can probably be gatewayed with foreign networks too once filtered by your regulators. It is intended to eliminate weaponisation of foreign media platforms not to block your citizens from sharing content. Remeber it is not always peacetime.
We tap into second mover advantage which means low starting costs. Foreign media creators already modify their content to target Turkish speakers and they can profit from Turkish ad networks. We have a sizable population and and a sizable foreign audience. Why would they post on your platform? Is there one compelling reason to do so?
How do you propose we'll overcome the first mover advantage?
