Merry Christmas to our christian brethren or as well call them in Urdu our "Maseehi Bradran" derived from the term "Maseeha" which is is translated as "Saviour" so "followers of the saviour".

Christmas bells are tolling and there is a celebration ongoing across the railway line here in sheikhupura where there is a large church, a chapel across the road and the salvation army headquarters near SP Chowk across the district center. Sheikhupura has a sizeable Christian community and they are pretty active as well. They are pals with local politicians, murder case lawyers and judges because in Pakistan only minorities can legally procure drinks and they procure them for the aforementioned individuals.
