Maritime patrol and Signal intelligence variant of Aksungur will be perfectly suited to its specific mission profiles. This beast can stay on air around 30h with 12 MAM-L munitions and 50h with empty weight. Aegeansea and E.Med will be non-stop monitored by these drones.

4x UMTAS missile with pylon weighs 210kg. 2x UMTAS with pylons weighs thus 105 kg. The Aksungur will be able to carry 12x UMTAS missiles for a total weight of 630kg, for strictly anti-tank roles with better stand-off capability than the MAM.

What kind of endurance are we expecting to see from Akinci with PD-170 engines? Would it go beyond 55 hours of endurance Aksungur is expected to achieve?

It depends how much fuel the Aksungur can carry. We know that Akinci has 2062 liter of internal fuel capacity.

Aksungur is lighter than Akıncı however Akıncı presumably has a larger fuel tank capacity; given these I think Aksungur will fly longer with its endurance optimized aerodynamics where Akıncı must be speed optimized mainly looking at their wingspans.

What about adding some external tanks?

8 mam l and rest weight in ext.tanks should give it much more range (for mediterranean sea for excample)

If the plane is highly optimized as it is external tanks will render it underpowered; you can gain in endurance but you will lose in speed, payload and altitude performance as the lifting capacity stays the same.

yeah payload thats why I limeted only to 8 mam L should be feasible if mam L is enough on sea.. (my assumption) there was an article wichsaid 24/28 mam l that would make up +~<400kg for fuel

if it does not exceed the max payload and is fitted where hkg or else would be fitted it would hav eno effect on max altidute and endurance I just ask myself how much/long could it fly then since the more fuel it consumes over time it would have less weight..

if that would mean 30% more area coverage with less ammunition it may be worth it on sea but if we expect less range it may be just not worth it

I just was hoping for a platform for long distances on sea only for intel opts and maybe limeted strike capability that was may idea behind my question :)

Further limit the ammunition to like 4 pieces and you can probably squeeze 48 hours out of it.

Akinci will come out in 3 base versions

Equipped with
- 2x 222hp turbo diesel engines (Flight ceiling between 30k - 40k feet)
- 2x 450hp turboprop engines (Flight ceiling >50k feet)
- 2x 750hp turboprop engine (this version will be equipped with AESA and air to air missiles) (Flight ceiling 65k feet)
