Selçuk Bayraktar:

"In about 1-2 months, we will begin flying the production prototypes and versions. We will have produced 3 units of KIZILELMA this year and will move to higher quantity mass production in the coming years. The final integration work is currently ongoing."

Recently we are getting a lot of off topics all over the forum. I want to remind you to keep your discussions close to the title of the thread. This is the UAV thread and if you can add something to this discussion you are free to post, but you must refrain turning this thread into a geopolitics discussion. We have a dedicated thread for the helicopter crash in which top Iranian officials lost their lives, we got foreign relations thread and you should keep these kind of discussions there. As we know politics is a big thing in these matters, but if we can't eliminate political discussions lets at least try to post with a 70/30 ratio in favor of technical content and content tightly connected to the machines themselves. This is valid for every thread in this forum.

Posts were moved, deleted and warnings were given.

Thank you!

We completed the System Identification and Performance Tests for #BayraktarTB3 and sent it off from our Flight Training and Test Center in Çorlu to Keşan. 👋✈️

They have send TB3 fromKesan to Corlu, something is cooking... :D

TAI General Manager Temel Kotil:

ANKA-3's twin engine will also arrive and will be able to fly at supersonic speed. They will accompany KAAN.

One thing I've loved about turkish technological reveals has been the cycle of:
"LOL turks can't develop/produce a thing"

Turks produce said thing

"3D mOCkUP nOT iNDiGEnoUS honghonghong /angry cuckold noises"

It's been one of highlights of this past decade.

As far as I understand what is meant by twin engines is 2x TEI TF-10000 (because an afterburner may be needed for supersonic cruise). This must represent an enormous leap, such as the complete domestic production of a strategic class and full stealth penetrator/bomber drone. In my opinion, more fuel and ammunition capacity and increased range/endurance will be more important advances than supersonic maximum flight speeds. Therefore, I hope and predict that this twin-engine ANKA-X will significantly exceed the ANKA-3 in terms of both wingspan and MTOW capacity. We may encounter a drone of quite gigantic dimensions.

So you're talking about a tactical bomber...

Unmanned helicopter ALPİN is preparing for sea missions:
• With the cooperation between Titra Technology and Airbus, ALPİN will gain the ability to take off and land on naval platforms.

Titra Technology Group CEO Abdulkadir Şener:
• There are very few solutions that can do this. ALPİN will be one of them in the next 6 months.
• We will make ALPİN available not only to the Land Forces and Special Forces, but also to the Naval Forces.
• We aim to sign protocols with at least a few countries by the end of the year regarding ALPİN, our kamikaze products and all of our product groups.

I dream of a drone with a wingspan around 20 meters and a surface area close to the size of KAAN, which can carry much more ammunition or systems (compared to Anka-3) from the Anatolian mainland to geographies, lets say deep in the African continent, without being detected by regional air defense radars. Perhaps a drone carrier that can carry different types of drones and drone-like loitering systems at internal stations. While it is very exciting that the ANKA-X will be a wing aircraft in all of KAAN's mission profiles, what always excites me the most is the possibility of the enormous leap in air force strike doctrines that such a large-scale, high-thrust flying wing drone could create. Not only in attack roles, but in a very wide range of areas, notably the tanker drone or the carrier role for other different flying systems.

The unmanned helicopter ALPİN, developed by TITRA, signed a protocol to cooperate with Airbus to gain the ability to take off and land on sea platforms.
Capable of vertical take-off/landing, ALPİN can perform its assigned tasks fully automatically and can carry a payload of 200 kg, including fuel.

Does the afterburner even make sense for Anka 3?
Especially on a stealth drone with a flying wing design?
If you look at the history of all American flying wing designs, from stealth bombers to drones, they all have something in common - they don't have an afterburner, and it should be obvious why that is.
Better stealth, lower emissions/signature.
Apart from the fact that in the speed range beyond Mach 1.5, the respective stealth coating suffers and the cost of maintaining it increases extremely. Today, only short-term "sprints" of Mach 1.6-1.8 are required, which is out of the question for a stealth bomber drone.

Afterburner is useful to increase the payload while taking off and especially from shorter distances.

Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) announced that the development of the twin-engine model of the Anka-3 unmanned aerial vehicle has begun.

TAI announced that the ANKA-3 has a high subsonic speed, but the development of the twin-engine supersonic ANKA-3 aircraft has already begun and will accompany the KAAN fighter jet.

In the future, the TAI ANKA-3 unmanned aerial vehicle will fly with 2 TEI-TF10000 turbofan engines.

The ANKA-3 will be able to carry 650 kilograms of ammunition in each of the two stations in the fuselage, 650 kilograms in each of the inner wing stations and 100 kilograms in each of the outer stations.

So does that mean that ANKA-3's max payload would be 3000 kilograms?

Apparently this is Anka4. 2 engines,
load capacity is 4 times greater. All. There are no other parameters.
After adding the second engine, the number of questions I had did not double as one would expect :) but grew exponentially.
