The news seems suggesting current assets. This one is more likely, IMHO: Pindad to develop lighter version of Harimau tank
If it's about upgrades for "real tanks" and not our local definition of what still count as a tank, then there aren't that much types to choose from, are they? The news seems suggesting current assets.

lesson from UA-RUSSO war, every single kind of military hardware, including old junk like AMX 13 worth to preserve, of course with new & different role.Am I the only one here who thinks upgrading all of the AMX-13s still is a considerably good outcome? Or that our AMX-13s in general are still good assets provided that it receives constant upgrades?

Just one fire and the whole tank jolt all overStill, I hope they will replace the old oscillating turret on AMX-13 with new and better one. Even though the old turret is certainly iconic, but it's rather limiting in today's warfare especially since it's not possible to fire on the move, not to mention that its elevation range is also quite low.
