Flights of Su-25ML of Azerbaijan, Birlestik exercises in Kazakhstan. In the west of Kazakhstan, in the Mangistau region, the international military exercises “Birlestik-2024” began with the participation of military personnel from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. As part of the exercises, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense demonstrated flights of its Su-25ML aircraft. In accordance with the exercise plan, Su-25ML aircraft flew during the day and at night, completing complex aerobatic and combat maneuvers at various altitudes. Su-25ML LAÇIN is a Turkish modernized version of the Russian-made Azerbaijani Su-25 aircraft. Turkish aerospace company TUSAŞ equipped the Su-25ML with Turkish software, missile and bombs. Su-25ML aircraft are equipped with ANS/KS software to increase flight range by opening the wings

With 70 DITA and 48 NORA B52 NG, Azerbaijani army had enough self propelled firepower.

First Dita SPH for Azerbaijan Army will be presented at ADEX 2024, hopefully we will see the NORA B52 NG as well

The Turkish Foreign Ministry congratulated Azerbaijan on the 106th anniversary of the liberation of Baku from the Armenian-Bolshevik occupation.

A publication by the Turkish Foreign Ministry on social networks says: “We congratulate our Azerbaijani brothers on the 106th anniversary of the liberation of the beautiful capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, from occupation. We respectfully honor the bright memory of our martyrs who gave their lives for the independence of [Azerbaijan].”

Teşekkürler Türkiye:love::love::love:
We will never forget it

@Iskander

Bolshevik? You meant to say Mensheviks?

Both Bolsheviks and Mensheviks are the same Russian communists. The so-called Baku commune (government) consisted mainly of Armenians. The rest are Russians, Georgians and others. Their bandit detachments consisted mainly (70%) of Armenians. Over the course of 6 months, Armenians killed tens of thousands of Muslims in Baku and other regions.
To absolve the Armenians and Russians of the blame for the terrible massacre, Russian so-called historians later invented the Central Caspian dictatorship. Power in Baku was exclusively in the hands of armed Armenians who deserted from the tsarist army. On September 15, 1918, the Turkish Caucasian Army entered the city and saved local Muslims from certain death.
We remember this and will remember it until the end of time.

Kurtulus gününüz kutlu olsun :)

Oh please do share source. I do like how the JF-17 Blok 3 looks on those photos :)

I think and believe that Türkiye is going to get a lot of first hand experience on JF-17 thanks to Azerbaycan and we're going to be working deep undercover for potential implementation of maintenance /repair of the jet in case we have to swap to JF-17.

Imagine if we reach same level of understanding of JF-17 as we have of F-16 (up to Viper level). In times of war it's good to be able to diversify, and with the knowledge and field work done, we'd be better positioned to acquire and use with as little downtime as possible.

Just thinking out loud here.

But would it be possible for Türkiye to finance some of the JF-17 and have some or all pilots be able to fly the JF-17 and F-16 ?

I know there are system differences and such, but I hope Aselsan and Havelsan etc. avionics could smooth that part over to some degree.

Confirmed Now, Azerbaijani Air Force has indeed ordered JF-17 Block 3, with Aselpods

This was the option that made the most sense for Azerbaijani needs. Has a good support structure, almost cheap to operate, no ITAR restrictions, ensures greater cooperation with Pakistan, Turkey and China. Good call. And if Azerbaijani Air Force later decides to go for Kaan, they will have been a good stopgap measure in the following decades.

JF-17 with AESA and Aselpod is more than good enough for our region, Armenia has a total of 4 Su-30s.

Kaan is a complete overkill for our region, not to mention all the drones, such as Akinci, Anka-3 and Kizilelma

Would not suprise me to see Turkish AAM integrated onto the JF-17, depending on how much control China has over the program.

For starters, it has a Chinese radar. I would very much like our AAMs to be as far as possible from any Chinese radars. We know however that Roketsan and GIDS are working together on new AAMs. Those could be deployed on Azerbaijani JF-17s as well. Until then, Chinese sticks on JF-17, PL-10 and PL-12 will meet every Azerbaijani need.

China also has PL-15E with ranges of 145kms, more than enough for our region. Also it is possible JF-17 will have Turkish avionics including Murad AESA
