Flattening YPG bases with a hasty reaction will not solve anything. By all means do send a strong message by attacking their bases as fast as possible but as I said that can only be a message. Otherwise a plan to block militarization and legitimization of that entity must have been devised long ago, through working with Assad, Russia and Iran separately on one side, even infiltrating YPG itself, tryin to form factions inside that entity, and also pressuring and sending messages to Western actors that this is the reddest of the red lines.
