I dont get it, whats the point of this charade between Iran and Israel.
Both side are STRIKING enemy HARD but they are doing this in a way to avoid any real damage.
So whats the point of wasting all those resources?

They want to reassure their radical supporters of how mighty they are. Both regimes are dependent on that.

Two more casualties reported from Iran; interesting thing is that they are all from Iran's official army not the IRGC. I think you can't just ignore 4 of your personnel being killed and your capital in the heartland being struck. On the other hand they for sure don't want to give Netanyahu a gift by creating an October surprise in the American election. So I predict there will be response after the election.

Its geo politics, the one cant exist without the other.
Both are needed to keep the ME in check(in Western minds,US,UK,EU).
If Israel,Iran or both are ''gone'' the Arab countries wouldnt need to buy anymore weapons from the ''West'',they could stop deliveries of oil and gas to Europe and the US at any given time at will(leverage).

The same goes for Ukraine and Russia:

Why do you think there are all these restrictions on the use of ''Western'' weapons in the war?
They want to ''weaken'' Russia by keeping it busy in Ukraine.
They give Ukraine just enough weapons to not lose to fast.
Trust me,they dont give a shit about Ukraine.

No need to elaborate,im sure you get it.

Well all 4 are not random soldiers but all air defence.

Overall we know now both countries (Iran and Israel) capabilities:

1) Iran can spam Israeli air defence with hundreds ballistic missiles. But their ballistic missiles are not so accurate and can't cause much damage to Israeli military targets. Also preparations to launch of hundreds ballistic missiles can be detected and put Israel on alert in advance. But Iran can cause massive damage to Israeli cities and some civilian infrastructures.

2) Israel on the other uses quality over quantity. It can conduct pinpoint attacks against all kind of targets and Iranian air defence cant do anything. No need to spam. One missile - one target. The only problem for Israel would be hardened underground targets which requite heavy bombs and not missiles.

The IDF indeed suffered heavy losses in past 48 days, but here is the full context:

Because if a real full blown total war happens.

Both Israel and Iran will weaken which would lead to the Turks and the Arabs getting stronger in the region.

Hence why they are keeping it temperate.

Bahaha @ the "Sinwar fought bravely with a stick" thing. Yeah dude, after fleeing immediately on Oct 7 leaving his men to fight, whilst getting himself & his own safely into the tunnel-iest of tunnels to sit around safely for almost a year. There's footage of his going-to-ground, taking all of the modern western comforts Iranian money can buy you with him in the process.

Then getting punked to death by some...fucking trainee kids. Badass samurai indeed, sent to hell by schoolboys pretty much first day on the job.

On another note, yeah, the Israeli strike didn't go far enough. At least the Ayatollah's missile production's nerfed for the time being though, and seems like they took out quite a few SAM sites in significant number too. I guess the ball's in Iran's court now, I mostly expect them to puss out and not do anything, but if they retaliate do I guess at least it's a lot easier for the IDF to go in the next time with the air defences being punked.

I'd be curious to know which airspace the IDF used too, kind of assuming nobody co-operated this time and they just used Iraqi skies to get there because Iraq's too useless to do anything about it , but who knows.

What @Kartal1 said is more realistic description of Sinwar's endeavour.

I never liked Sinwar and his way of sorting things out, but I think he deserves admirations at least for his bravery. While everybody was thinking that he is hiding in a tunnel because he is scared or even circulated false reports on his death, he stood there and fought shoulder to shoulder with his fellow comrades.

He was on the field coordinating military actions and even after he was heavily wounded he found the strength to evacuate to a better position and apply an improvised tourniquet on his hand. According to the information we have, while he was there sitting injured an Israeli soldier went to check on him while Sinwar attacked him with a hand grenade and injured him. That's when they decided to finish him off with a tank. It is reported that when they reached the dead body of Sinwar he was lying there with another hand grenade ready.

He fought to his last breath and even while incapacitated he tried to hit the reconnaissance drone with a stick. Whatever is our opinion on Sinwar or Hamas we can not deny Sinwar's fighter spirit. I think that Israel did a very big mistake by sharing the details and the videos on Sinwar's last moments. His last moments carry more inspiration than intimidation.

However, people who are too invested in this will make it so that fits their narrative.

They still cant handle their strategic bloopers with releasing Sinwar's last moments.

He didnt hide in the tunnels, he didnt handcuffed himselve with the hostages, he didnt wear a niqab or trying to flee. He fought on the frontlines with his soldiers and became a international icon like Che Guevara.

The revolution will outlive her revolutionaries and 1000's of Yahya Sinwar's are been born. Those are facts. Deal with it or go crying like the 'brave' Israeli Diaper Forces.

Funerals more common than weddings now in Israel (but they are cheaper, thats a plus)

Verry verry antizemitic operasion frrom Gggamaz

Juzt go back to New Yorrk or Berlin where you came frrom

The state of fear and terror experienced by the Diaper army in South-Lebanon: He saw the leader hitting them, slapping them, and pushing them to move while they put one leg forward and the other another out of extreme fear.

They were not exaggerating when they said that they were facing “ghosts” in southern Lebanon.

There's...literally footage of the man & his family leaving their home into the tunnels, Sinwar personally carrying the TVs & armchairs & household conveniences, man. Stop.

The only reason he resisted right at the end is he got caught out in the open running from hidey-hole to hidey-hole, stumbled upon by some super-junior IDF randos with his pants proverbially down. The guy was underground *for a year* without joining his men to so much as fire a single shot. You know this.

He had no choice but to go out that way, he was dead the moment they found him and he knew it. The guy would *much rather* it didn't come to that, he wasn't actively & heroically seeking out a firefight with the Israelis or however you want to frame it with mental gymnastics. Guy was cornered, the boot was coming down, he was Hiding and they were Seeking, the seekers won out, all it was.

As for the "go back to New York or Berlin or wherever you came from" directed at the soldier, "Israel" is the word you're looking for. The answer's Israel, the place he's ensuring stays with his people. The people, you know, from there originally. You might as well be asserting Native Americans are colonizers or something, it's just as laughable.

The newest missile of Iran are accurate enough to hit the target and damaging it. Israel is a small land strip, which can not counter a massive strike. Even if Israel is in alert, it’ has only few minutes to react.
