Brussels, Belgium: EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said Monday the bloc's envoy to Syria was going to Damascus to talk to the new Islamist-led leadership, as Western powers stepped up engagement after the ouster of Bashar al-Assad.

"Our top diplomat in Syria will go to Damascus today. We'll have the contacts there," Kallas told journalists ahead of a meeting of EU foreign ministers.

When i told this on this platform years ago, nobody took me serious.

So i will say it again and again.

I predicted 3 years ago that Trump will win again and that he is the best POTUS for Turkey and Turkish military operations.

Under Trump’s presidency we will see a Turkish Century: taking back Mosul, Kirkuk etc like we are defacto taking back Idlib and Aleppo.

Trump can get along very well with Erdogan and under Trump we can perform the most military operations.

After the Pastor Brunson incident and the Trump-letter, MIT found something about Trump.

Because after the Brunson incident, Trump’s attitude towards us changed completely. He green-lights every decision of Turkey.

The elected president of the U.S., Trump: "Turkey is very smart. (President Erdoğan) is a very smart man and very strong. Erdoğan is someone I get along with very well. He has built a very powerful army. I can say that Assad is a butcher with what he did to the children."

Trump needs a red carpet full bells and whistles mehter takim state visit invite. ;)

I think people must be mad to rely on someone else for deciding the outcome of what should be won on the field. Trump will threaten to rape our economy and freezy our movement. US has nothing to lose because we are heavily dependent on US and EU.

We win on the ground but lose on the table, isn't that what we have kept seeing.

It's mostly because of this

The Israeli Air Force struck an ammunition depot and a base of the 23rd brigade of the former Syrian army in the province of Tartus. Presumably, F-16I aircraft were used in the attack, the type of bombs or missiles used is not reported. As a result of the strike, the military depots were completely destroyed, the colossal explosion was visible for many kilometers. An earthquake with a magnitude of about 3 points was recorded during the explosion of ammunition. It is worth noting that the air defense in Syria is currently practically absent from the armed forces of the new Syrian government. Israel is systematically destroying military equipment of the former Syrian army to eliminate future threats.

Turkish troops and militias are gathering on the border – the US fears an imminent invasion

Turkish troops and Turkish-backed militias are now gathering on the border with Syria.

This is creating fears that Turkey is preparing to invade Kurdish-controlled areas in northeastern Syria. This is what senior US officials told The Wall Street Journal.

The US supports the Kurdish troops, and there are American soldiers in the Kurdish areas.

The Turkish troop buildup has grown since the Assad regime fell. Troops – which are gathering near the border town of Kobane – consist of both uniformed Turkish soldiers and Syrians, whom Erdogan's government supports.

The government in Ankara and the Kurds in Syria are mortal enemies. Turkey sees the Syrian-Kurdish army, SDF, as an extension of the banned Turkish party Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).

Turkey has long wanted to remove the Kurds and their army from the border area.

In 2019, Turkey also invaded northeastern Syria, while Donald Trump withdrew most American troops from the area. Hundreds of thousands of Kurds were sent fleeing.

This is the narrative that western media uses and the more time passes the more speed they'll gain.

It is kinda ironic how those hypocritical westerners are flocking to Syria in order to reduce Turkey's influence when they watched the syrians getting tortured, killed, and living in exile for a whole decade

Translation:
NEW/IMPORTANT — EU official [Von der Leyen-Erdogan meeting ]: “This is a political message that we accept Erdogan’s influence (in Syria).”
“We want (Erdogan) to see that we can play a role too.”
- Financial Times -

Translation:
NEW — German media, Welt TV reporter Steffen Schwarzkopf [Germany sending a delegation to Damascus ]: “So why is all this being done? Of course, this has to do with Turkey as well.”
“In order not to leave the field entirely to Turkey, German representatives are also visiting Damascus today.”

All that at the same time the non hypocritical Turks were helping the poor "Syrian citizens" so much.
