What can we offer to Uzbekistan today and in the future?

At some point we will also need to accept the fact that Greece and South Cyprus are EU. We should watch the North Cyprus elections for this year. Let's see what is the new policy after the last 5 year's two states policy pretty visibly crashed and burned as we see now.

Sorry that is not a reason for treason, we now know the price off Ozbekistan.

We are sold for 12 billion euro...

They did the right thing. Get the free money and create dependencies with the EU. They can change their policy towards TRNC and officially recognize it a decade later. This also benefits us.

Dont forget Mongolia was once part of TAKM then they left.

Azerbaijan is pretty much the closest country we got to and is pretty much our ally and brother.

Treat the Central Asian countries more like trade partners from now on.

You wil get more military bases in Somalia than you will get in Kazakhstan or Kyrgzstan.

People put too much faith in Turan and a united Ummah then get dissapointed when reality hits.

People are blowing this out of proportion...

Central Asian countries need allies and trade partners outside of their neighborhood. They're surrounded by Russia, China, Iran and Afghanistan, they're in a terrible neighborhood... As I've previously stated, the EU will partner with the Turkic World to navigate the era of the dying empires (USA and Russia) and the rise of China.

Turkey is the bridge that will connect both sides.

Whilst Europe is opening up to more coordination with Turkey, the Turkic states have been more cautious as of late. Think about this, all central asian states are putting up measures to curb Islamism. Meanwhile, Turkey's government buys land there to build mosques, religious schools etc. There's also the sensitive topic of the Israel-Palestine war. The central asian states don't want anything to do with it. Meanwhile, Turkish officials will bring it up at every OTS meeting as the main topic.

Turkey needs to fix its foreign policy and stop shoving religion into everything. Nothing about these recent events are personal, they're just sick of AKPs shit.

Reminds me of what the Hungarian ambassador once said about their meetings with Turkish officials always featuring at least one instance of someone bringing up support for Palestine only for the Hungarian side to politely turn it down and saying that they kind of accepted it as something that the Turkish delegation is obligated to do to satisfy Erdogan's demands.

What exactly happened?
In a nutshell, members of Organization of Turkic States (OTS), which Turkey also is a member, started to recognize Republic of Southern Cyprus as Cyprus one after another (which is also recognized by the rest of the world btw).
Some consider this a huge blow to Turkish stand for fifty years on the island’s status quo that asserts two separate states. The sense of unease reached such a pitch that some take this as backstabbing by own brothers.

Think its different to that.... political recognition and start of diplomatic relations between Cyprus and the Central Asian republics I checked just now started in the 90s (i.e when the Central Asian Republics formed after USSR broke up):

Maybe the issue that popped up is more upgrading of existing honorary consulates (given sizes/priorities of each diplomatic corps) to full missions etc. (where the full sized missions are currently indirectly tasked through Russia etc currently by mutual presence there)

Example of what I mean:

But this is a nominal thing to do (i.e expansion) compared to recognition and setting up official diplomatic relations.

Either way Turkiye operates in world reality and realpolitik already regarding this stuff with countries both big and small, as Turkiye iirc is the only one that recognises TRNC (and thus doesnt recognise Rep. of Cyprus).

i.e this realpolitik is already the situation within the OTS already w.r.t countries that are not Turkiye AFAIK.

The ABC groups are good to have on affairs of mutual intersection to make meetings and such easier....but really they dont envisage grappling much with heavier realpolitik geopolitics stuff most of the time, each country puts its interests first in the end as it sees fit to.

Well, true but opening embassy is huge step which signals dual diplomatic official relations

Is there ANY problem in the world that you don't hold "islamism" as the responsible?

Your obsession is not healthy. Maybe consider getting some professional help?

I guess, I mean are they ALL doing it at same time as some kind of statement? Or it's just one country among them?
Latter could just be coincidental....but also begs the question given size of Cyprus and the Turkic CARs for sure that had Moscow route "good enough" till now....past whatever the "honorary consulates" handle. Not too familiar with this stuff.

Last time I looked into it was weird way US does it with Taiwan, by basically never having an ambassador per se (after recognition switch to PRC), but a charge d'affairs (i.e Taiwan treated regionally). "Charge d'affairs" are who also take over (like a deputy) when ambassadors are recalled, reassigned or during replacement time etc.

Last bit of trivia I know (though might be wrong) is that embassy actually refers to the diplomat corps themselves within the country. The building itself is just the "chancellory" iirc. Same for consulates (when you open more than one embassy)

To be fair its not like radical islamists don't day and night propagate that Turkiye should dive head first into war against Isreal for the collective losers of the middle east.

As for "Islamism" it is no doubts the greatest threat facing Muslims, the dangerous internal enemy mostly controlled by anglo-american and zionist entities. Where it targets and uses insecure minorities as their useful idiots to lead it within whichever host nation it effects.

When it succeeds, the English the masters of the Islamic world reward them with personal dinners with the queens of england and membership into elite British aristocratic fraternal orders.

The game of using the religion to fool the Turkish and Muslim people must come to an end. Islamism is the greatest tool used by the Kafir to undermine Muslim majority nations.

The way i see it, the only way the Turkish people can protect themselves from it, is to reclaim the religion. After all no other race fought and died to keep the faith alive like the Turk did. Its actually a great disgrace that the control of global islamic politics is in the hand of the west. A great disgrace that all her holy sites have come under direct or indirect occupation. Turks didn't fight for over a thousand years keeping the entire Muslim world safe, to simply cede sovereignty of the religion to those who have done everything to destroy it and her followers.

I would advise all Turks on here who are becoming sickened by "Islamism" because of the corrupt and dirty nature of its leaders, don't make the mistake of turning against the religion. This is what they want, since they can then turn round and claim that you hate Islam and Muslims and further entrench their grip on society. The only way to defeat these demons is to reclaim the religion and then use the religion to expose these traitors for the being slaves of the kaffir that they are, the real enemies of the people of the faith.

Because if we are learning anything, if we ignore the religion, it will be used against us instead of for us. Islam should have never become a tool of the enemy to use against the common Muslim.

What is this "Union of Muslim Scholars"? What kind of scholars are these? If "scholars" call for jihad, what are a billion uneducated Muslims to do? How do they know who pays these scholars (or "scholars")? Isn't the call to jihad (fatwa!) enough? The local imam will deliver it to them during Friday prayers.
And many will fall into this trap

The headquarters of this organization are not in Kabul, not in Khartoum, not in Yemen, as one might expect, but (in Pennsylvania... oops. crossed out) in Dublin.
All this is very sad :(

I think and believe that. Being uneducated and the lack of basic core knowledge of Islam in Schools are the most important reason for this kind of backward thinking. All of those in that photo are the reason for how inept and narrowminded most muslim muhmins are.

You need to teach and indoctrinate the core value and knowledge to all students from very early, so they know than anything beyond those core values are made up by power hungry shi.theads.

Good parts of Islam:

Giving to the poor and unfortunate.
Encouraging pursuit of knowledge (even jihadis tend to have skilled engineers and scientists in their ranks at times).
Encouraging cleanliness.
Every man gets many wom...ehm, I mean, one woman for every man. Yep. Never said otherwise.

Bad parts of Islam:

Extreme touchiness about parts of the faith being criticized.
Too many radicals encouraging violence as a solution.
Borderline deification of ordinary men when the core pillar of Islam is that God is the highest and the only one whom believers should look up to and follow.
Excess modest...actually might not be a bad thing when I see some of the stuff that moms are letting their daughters wear, seriously.

Not all three at the same time, in a ceremonial fashion of course but days apart because that would be salt on the wound.
Like you said, bilateral relations can easily be established between any country with “creative” diplomatic titles or even under good offices of a third country if the political climate wouldn’t allow it.
However, what bothers most Turkish members is that this was an unexpected move by their brethren and they see it as a blow to Turkish foreign policy and also take it as an insult.
Like I said, it's almost officially recognizing Southern Cyprus as the sole representative of the island thus sending the Republic of Northern Cyprus to the trash bin.

An embassy is really on a different level. It can initiate any kind of diplomatic mission, act, even sign treaties which bind its country whereas consulates deal with consular stuff with limited diplomatic missions.

Attaché cadres are the suspicious ones though. During the Cold War Soviet embassies were filled with agricultural attaches who were KGB guys while CIA guys served as trade attaches in American embassies 😈
