The Altay tank's delay wasn't bad at all, the tank was updated against current threats, especially after the Syrian and Ukrainian wars. It is at a good level, especially in terms of detection and prevention systems against drones.

In the future, we will probably see unmanned turrets and fully unmanned versions. Thus, we will continue to use manned systems along with unmanned systems that will be gradually prepared for the future combat environment.
Was it? How?the tank was updated against current threats
Roof armour upgrade sarp counter uav capability aps and maybe jammersWas it? How?
Has there been any mention of a "roof armour upgrade"? Or jammer or Sarp anti drone capability?Roof armour upgrade sarp counter uav capability aps and maybe jammers
Nope. And Sarp anti drone capability is nothing more than a plan for now. Also no jammers and no anti drone capability for Akkor so far.Has there been any mention of a "roof armour upgrade"? Or jammer or Sarp anti drone capability?
Akkor anti drone would be a waste because I've seen both Ukraine and Russia send multiple drones to kill tanks and it has, what, 4 or 6 charges?Nope. And Sarp anti drone capability is nothing more than a plan for now. Also no jammers and no anti drone capability for Akkor so far.
Still better than losing a tank to a drone though. RCWS are very light skinned, they won't survive long in an open war, so we can't expect them to take over the anti drone duties.Akkor anti drone would be a waste because I've seen both Ukraine and Russia send multiple drones to kill tanks and it has, what, 4 or 6 charges?
But you'll lose it, that is my point. From the photos it looks like it has 4 charges, all an enemy would have to do is to send 6 drones and I have seen tanks getting hit with multiple drones. With RCWS, or rather a proper CIWS like system that is automated like that, you can at least hunt them at a greater range rather than waiting until they are on top of you.Still better than losing a tank to a drone though. ASELSAN has a video in their YouTube channel, featuring Sarp w/Anti Drone. I am too busy to find it rnNope. And Sarp anti drone capability is nothing more than a plan for now. Also no jammers and no anti drone capability for Akkor so far.
This is a good solution and I thought about it as well. It looks like a 40-60mm pellet round for an effective range of 0-200m maybe less, not sure.Add Aselsan Sahin with autonomous capability behind Altay, like crocodile and you are good to go

Flak guns making a comeback as a counter for drones. Funny how life works sometimes.
