Even if it was he wouldn't dare upset the Jews just to give us some F35F-35 has nothing to do with Trump. It is a matter for Congress.
MAGA does wield a fair amount of influence across all branches of government though.F-35 has nothing to do with Trump. It is a matter for Congress.
Netanyahu wields more power. That is why Trump tries to persuade Bibi to sell F-35s to Turkiye. He offers to keep Turkey outside of the Gaza peace force in return.MAGA does wield a fair amount of influence across all branches of government though.
Which are controlled by republicans (D. Trump).F-35 has nothing to do with Trump. It is a matter for Congress.
Not really. It's very close on most matters and Turkey for the last decade have always been bipartizan with multiple interest groups on it. A president simply cannot order his party to do a thing, they never have that much sway over their party.Which are controlled by republicans (D. Trump).
US politicians works little bit different. Not really. It's very close on most matters and Turkey for the last decade have always been bipartizan with multiple interest groups on it. A president simply cannot order his party to do a thing, they never have that much sway over their party.
You clearly haven't been paying attention mate, Trump can and do order his party around. He killed a bill Republicans themselves worked on with just one tweet because it would've gone against one of his narratives against Biden and he wasn't even the president then. Republicans either fall in line or get ousted, it has happened multiple times just in 2025. Trump presidency doesn't confirm to norms of the US, it is far more like how our government operates. Both legislative and judicial bodies virtually handed all their power over to him already.A president simply cannot order his party to do a thing, they never have that much sway over their party.
Meh. I have my strong doubts that A400M can carry components of a S400 battery. Not just the dimensions but by weight as well. Regardless that's at least 8 sorties without considering the missile loads. These are huge 8x8 vehicles, lightest of which weight 30-35 tons. For example for the latest radar that was sent, was sent using a Qatari C-17.
I'm yet to receive a retort to these points I made last year.Assuming we get the F-35, I wonder who we can use it against?
Greece? The US would probably shut down both countries' aircraft... before a conflict arose, and would even sell it as de-escalation. How clever and forward-thinking they are as Americans...
Against Israel?I don't need to write any more on that.
Against Russia/Iran? Their junk aircraft and drones still haven't achieved absolute dominance in Ukraine, which is embarrassing enough. No one takes Russia seriously in terms of conventional capabilities.
Analysis and partial reverse engineering to explore US Gen 5/Pre Gen 6 Logic? You don't need 40+ machines for that...
For NATO missions? You don't need F-35s for that; the Eurofighter/F-16s will suffice until 2040+.
Prestige in the F-35 club? I don't see any added value here...
Access to MRO and spare parts and parts manufacturing via TAI and TEI? That's the only logical reason I've found. Whether it's enough is another question.
They could just not spend millions on donations to US politicians to boot Turkey out of JSF; but they did that.
There's nothing suspicious about anything. Israel worked for more than 5 years actively to make sure Turkey didn't get F-35s and it is still working actively to keep the laws that enabled this to stay on line. And then we have Bibi and even Greek PM on live TV saying "Turkey not being able to get F-35s is actually great for us".
Only Turkey's rivals and some small onset of Turks support Turkey NOT getting F-35s. It's comical.

We are sending lots of other stuff.
Okay, but why do we need these F-35 aircraft strategically and militarily? There is no question that Greece and Israel need them, and the likelihood that they will use them against us to exert pressure is real.I'm yet to receive a retort to these points I made last year.
Thank you very much!!!These people talk like U.S. has alien technology. It comes from a place of sense of deep inferiority.
