I look at SANA, Aljazeera, Reuters, AA etc. All saying clashes for Raqqa continuing. Pls tell me if you have a better news source. But I have a bad news: There will be a cease-fire this evening and they will be back to negotiation table. which means nothing has been achieved. They will end up declaring autonomy in the meantime Peshmerga forces from BArzani will come for help. Israel will send military help etc. This will be yet another example of my motto Half-Done Things are not done at all! See below:

Aljazeera: Syria’s information minister, Hamza al-Mustafa, says an announcement is due at 6pm (15:00 GMT) on a ceasefire after heavy fighting between the SDF and government troops.

In what world do you live and how do come up with such statements?
Nobody will come to help, not Barzani and not Israel.
A ceasefire will be declared but only to state the way forward, the SDF will not exist anymore, all SDF controlled territory will come under the rule of the Syrian government.
It is over for the SDF.

Fed up with signing deals with the SDF, tbh!
However, this one compared to the former March 10 agreement, is a complete blow to the SDF. Their Rojava project is officially over and so are their source of funding from oil and drug trading!
This is just for the eyes of the Western world,in reality all YPG elements will cease to exist(eliminated) in the future.
To much pressure from outside of Syria namely Türkiye and even the US.

They really should have taken the deal from last week, but nope. Good day. "Rojava" is done. I understand our people's reservations and not trusting anything; but past doesn't have to be the future as well. This is nothing like what was forced in Iraq in 91. What remains is the implementation of the deal.

it's a good deal imo. dissolvement of sdf without giving autonomy to the Kurds is optimal. because after you collect their heavy weaponry and ammo, they won't have teeth anymore. you can deal with their bullshit more easily. just take their weapons and smack their neck every time they get out of line.

Tribes will continue until Hassakah is under their control. Ceasefire doesn’t apply to them. The much wanted insurrection the west was looking for, seems to have taken place, but in the wrong country.

Indeed, the terms of the new deal are much better than the one in MArch 10 one. I was afraid of some bad scenarios (and still don't like PKK getting away alive), given all my past disillusions. And the fact that Barrack, Barzani, and Abdi met in Erbil. But now I think they were probably planning to transfer PKK rats from Syria to Nord Irak to possibly unite with PJAK and use them against Iran.

Lindsey Graham is in Israel. Seems nobody told him what’s going on. He’ll start barking when it too late. To be honest it’s already too late.

You see, first this so called deal then root out the rotten eggs and destroy them
The radical islamists in the Syrian army will make sure of that.
Maybe with hunting parties.😁😁 😁

I have reservations about the implementation of the the agreement like most of us, however, from this point forward YPG/PKK/SDG is done, finished, dead:

- They were not only defeated, but also humiliated. There was no put up a fight, even no resistance (100.000 soldier lmao :)) This is middle east baby, no strength means no respect from anybody, and yes that includes supporters

- There was no political coverage, only Graham (even he was half assed, also everyone knows him so doesnt matter). Even Macron couldnt say sharp words. England, Germany, Russia, Pentagon nothing. Noone defended them. To an entitiy whose existence is entirely dependent on external forces, that was the most crushing blow.

- They lost all the money. Even without agreement they had lost the oilfields. Without it they simply cannot paid the terrorists in the region under SDF, they cannot govern anywhere.

- In last years PKK was defeated militarily in our country. Their only hope and reason for dragging feets was Syria and SDG, which for the reasons above and much more, ceased to exists

What was inevitable has become reality. They are now defeated, humiliated, diplomatically abandoned and without money, they have no chance. Congratulations to our diplomats, MIT and above all the unsung patriotic heroes on the field whose names and contributions we will never ever know. May Allah blessed them all
