This is what I was talking about, Kaan can teach the pilot how to fly, there is no need for other planes. A pilot does not need to go through all the old school phases of flight training. Kaan will be safe for both the pilot and itself.
Big part of modern jet training is cost management. If you ever go to İzmir you'll see that tens of T-38s start their routine every monday at 9 and fly in business hours until Friday 5PM. That's hundreds of flighthours every month. It's expensive. Doing LIFT training with Kaan is just meaningless. It is literally the single most expensive aircraft design our air force could think of.This is what I was talking about, Kaan can teach the pilot how to fly, there is no need for other planes. You will be saving from keeping costs of lots of other planes. Pilots will not need to transition from one plane to another. Ground simulations will also be part of this. It is better to waste a couple more planes for training than partitioning the training between multiple platforms. It will take a shorter time for sure. Cost will still be be tolerable and Kaan will get more attention and be perfected as the only son of the family and one of our own making.Big part of modern jet training is cost management. But, all these simulators and SIM modes will make conversion training when the pilot joins the squadron much easier.
Simple detail, both prototypes were in air. Wonder what's the latest sortie number for the program is. They were on flight 300 back on October 10.Hürjet looking nice

This flight is dedicated in respectful memory of those who lost their lives in the tragic train accident in the town of Adamuz, Spain. We share the grief of those who perished in the accident and extend our deepest condolences to the people of Spain.![]()
I miss hearing more good news about Hürjet. Not about export, but about our own AF getting them.
I thought they were also preparing the TOMTAS facilities to assemble planes, plans have changed?
It seems like TN is finally getting the dedicated Naval Fighter, and they need Hürjet trainer for the Naval training school.Production of four more Hürjet prototypes, which will be the first group of 12 ordered by the Turkish Air Force for training and light attack configurations, is ongoing."
With the order from Spain and the expectation of additional orders from the Turkish Air Force and the Turkish Navy, we have further accelerated our preparations for mass production. We are planning a mass production infrastructure that will produce 2-3 Hürjet/month
Hürjet will get 4 more production prototypes which will later be transferred to air force. TurAF order is still for 12 aircraft per Demiroğlu, not 4+12.
As in a proper 5th gen fighter? It seems like TN is finally getting the dedicated Naval Fighter, and they need Hürjet trainer for the Naval training school.
Everyone involved in that decision is fucking moron then, throwing money, resources and lives away at a vanity project. If we ever go to war and use that carrier, those jets will be hunted down like ducks while barely being able to carry out a meaningful sortie efficiency.I think he means Navalized combat jet, and not necessarily 5th gen.
