Unlike Iran where Interned is shut in Israel everything open, there are million telegram channels which immediately share everything.
Under Israeli law, all media outlets (including international bureaus operating within Israel) must submit stories related to "state security" to the Military Censor before publication.
Censorship extends beyond professional journalists to the general public.
Social Media Monitoring: The IDF and police actively monitor platforms like X (formerly Twitter), Telegram, and TikTok. Users who post videos of impact sites or "sensitive" areas can face immediate legal action or equipment confiscation.
The United Nations and various press freedom groups (like the CPJ) have expressed concern that these measures, while framed as "security," are increasingly blurring the line between protecting troops and stifling legitimate wartime reporting.
Israel’s wartime censorship isn’t about hiding damage. It’s about preventing sensitive information from helping Iran target Israeli cities.
