As Jewish newspaper said. Iran wins not on battlefield but wins on negotiation table. Opposite of Turks.
Because they had a trump card that could strangle the whole world: the Strait of Hormuz.
On the other hand, Russia sent a peacekeeping force to Karabakh, thinking they could one day reclaim it. Now, do you see a peacekeeping force in Karabakh? Or does the agreement signed after Operation Spring Shield still hold any validity? Winning at the negotiating table isn't enough. If you don't have a strong army you can rely on, and you haven't supported that army with intelligent decisions, they'll make you eat that piece of paper you signed.
