I don't know, it will be more beneficial to send your question to DARPA. DIRCM is still a raw technology for these days. Barreled and missile systems will be developed and used for a longer period of time.
US has already developed guided shells similar to Dardo,
Dircm will be installed on ships soon, passed the "raw stage"
Darpa doesn't work on phalanx :).

The integration of DIRCM into ships does not change the fact that it is raw technology. A weapon is experimental until it proves itself in the field.

Dude, you destroyed DARPA with your ultra-deep and broad analysis, changed the war doctrines, NATO will review all its war plans, thanks to you. :D

Please read the titled of the pages you are copying from: it is not related to phalanx ciws but phalanX a cyber defense system.

Darpa doesn't work on "now" they work on "what is next":it is mad-fires (guided artillery in ciws role)

Dircm has passed raw and experimental stage, update your knowledge it was in experimental stage pre-2010, it was already tested on a ship several years ago (should be wasp class), a new and final operational product is going to be delivered and mounted on the ship soon.

Also: South Korea to abandon phalanx with a 40 mm barreled ciws, similar to what Turkish Navy has been requesting since initialization of Gokdeniz project.

Dont worry, Turkish Navy is good and up to date.

Nobody said it was not tested. I say it was not used in the field. Okay?

I think just reread the above messages. First, you said DARPA did not work at Phalanx. Then you say something else. DARPA does not develop technology. Manages technology programs. It is partially similar to SSB.

Alright.. DARPA doesnt develop technology and it is identical to SSB not Tubitak sage :)
End of the discussion for me, have your time and enjoy it here.
The picture you have posted does not belong to phalanx ciws, but phalanX, a different project.

Kardeş sana Phalanx ile DARPA ilişikisine burada ansiklopedi sunsalar sen yine burnunun dikine bakarsın. En iyisi bakmaya devam et.

I said Phalanx and Gökdeniz are not the products of the same class. Where did you bring the subject? Thus, you have shown your level of knowledge. Phalanx is a superior product with its pulse rate and speed and has proven itself in the field. Gökdeniz focuses on high caliber ammunition with particles. These two are not in the same class.

And why do you keep repating it as if i dont know, as if i havent written it in the earlier projects?
If it is superior why Korea is working on millenium gun like 40mm ciws to replace phalanx?
Who is being stubborn in here? :)

For gods sake you have posted a picture from an irrevelant project to prove yourself. Why should darpa work on phalanx at the moment they did it decades ago already.

It can work. But can he succeed? Or why choose Phalanx until the product comes out. Is it because he likes lights air shows? I am bored..

2 months ago Korea bought Phalanx. Why?

2 months ago Korea bought Phalanx. Why?
Because they dont have any other ciws at the moment?
Because they are highly influnced by US Navy? Note that they use RAM on some ships, not Phalanx.

Tell my why japanese changed to seaRAM,
Or Germany switched to RAM? instead of Phalanx :)
Or how about Italy and strales?

Phalanx is not the god of the ciws, it is not the best, not the superior of all other ciws.
It can be compared with similar calibers and similar ciws employing similar techniques. Not with all.

As I know it TN chose gökdeniz because of the smart munition among other things. And whilst I don’t know if all our new vessels capable of having gökdeniz is going to have it, I hope we will have it, I also hope that a more compact version will be developed without compromising the efficiency.

Guys I see the discussion is getting pretty heated and needed to do a light clean so I wanted to do a friendly remind to refrain from ad hominem. Thank you in advance.

Although it does not attract as much attention as this Akya news, the newly developed MÜREN Submarine CMS is at least as important as this torpedo projects and all these showing our naval industry's maturity and where to next point they preparing.

As we all know, the all success we have achieved in indigenous surface combatant platforms is not just the design, build and corroboration of warship hull. All of -detection, identification, threat classification and tracking, engagement and countermeasuring- cycle will be provided by national technologies, thanks to MILGEM program. In this context, the indigenous radar suite, indigenous combat management(Advent) system and indigenous weapon systems 'like ATMACA and beyond' constitute the main power multiplier of the F515 frigate.

Now, the same competence and deterrance will be gained starting from Preveze and Gür class submarines with locally produced sonar, ESM and MÜREN CMS systems and AKYA . On top of it, the only big leap might not be in technical sense. If the Milden project can be bring up between 2028 and 2035, it is possible to achieve the ideal of expanding the submarine fleet, which we have heard from many admirals so far.

In short, this photo actually tells much more (to somewheres) than a kind of simple torpedo loading photo.

If the photos are up-to-date, Aselsan Hazar 3D AESA radar can be integrated as in the ISTIF class frigate.
