Big if trueDear posters the HQ-16 will not be used on the PAK Milgem, and close sources say it will be the following system;
The CAMM-ER
CAMM-ER missile completes trials milestone
MBDA say it has successfully completed a series of trials of the CAMM-ER air defence missile, validating the high-performance of the system.ukdefencejournal.org.uk
We'll all know for sure whether there is space reserved for the large illuminating radars for the LY-80.Why would Pakistan chose camm? Hisar is practically a same type missile.
Pakistan would never get tech transfer from MBDA but Turkey probably would share the tech with brother Pakistan
Recap of the Jinnah class Milgem
With a length of 108.8 meter and displacement of 3000 tonnes it is a bit shorter than the I-class (113m) with almost the same displacement
As weapons pack it carries:
- 76mm Leonardo DRS (former Oto Melara) super rapid gun with TAKS fire control system of Aselsan
- 16 cell Chinese VLS for HHQ-16/LY-80N, which is a medium-range, semi-active radar-guided air defense missile (18km ceiling, 40 - 70km range depending on version)
- Gökdeniz CIWS
- modified version of the Combat Management System (based on GENESİS ADVENT)
- 6x Harbah Anti-Ship Cruise Missiles with land attack capability (based on the Babur cruise missile with 700km range)
- 2x 25 mm Remote Controlled Stabilized Naval Guns (STOP) (Aselsan)
- 2x AKR-D blk1 fire control radar (Aselsan)
Propulsion system
Initially it was thought that the Jinnah class would have only diesel engines but STM signed a contract for the purchase of the LM2500 turbine with GE marine for the Pakistan navy.
The propulsion system of the Jinnah class will most likely be the same as the Milgem propulsion (LM2500 gas turbine coupled with a pair of MTU 16V595TE90 diesel engines, but since the serial production of the MTU 16V595TE90 had stopped the replacement model 4000 Series MTU 20V4000M93L is the likely model to be used).
So cruising speed and top speed will probably be similar to the Milgem corvette: 22knt+ and 30knt+ respectively
Sensors & Systems:
- GENESİS ADVENT Combat Management System (CMS)
- Aselsan’s SMART-S Mk2 or Aselsan Hazar radar
- ALPER Navigation and LPI (Low Probability of Intercept) Radar
- ARES-2N ESM and AREAS-2NC Electronic Attack System
- Laser Warning System
- HIZIR Torpedo Countermeasure System
- Inertial Navigation System (LN-270 INS/GPS)
- Integrated Platform Control and Monitoring System (YALTES)
- YAKAMOS Hull Mounted Sonar System (METEKSAN)
- Naval Information Exchange System (NIXS) (MilSOFT)
- Pakistan indigenous data-link system “Link Green”.
Seen the equipment of the Milgem Jinnah class it is a kick ass ship with a complete package of very modern systems
Deal is 1bln euro ($1.22 bln) for 4 ships that includes tech transfer and construction of 2 ships at Pakistan's shipyard.

According to the previous Pakistan Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), the the PN MILGEM Corvette and the Jinnah-Class Frigate are two separate programs.
The PN MILGEM is the modified VLS-equipped corvette we're all seeing right now -- these are 4 ships.
The Jinnah-Class Frigate is a follow-on program (but in partnership with ASFAT) -- the 1st ship will be the 5th overall ship in the Pakistan MILGEM program.
As per Pakistani news reports, the design work of the Jinnah-Class Frigate has started, and it seems the PN will order an initial batch of 2 ships.
So basically, the PN MILGEM program is now 6 ships:
--4 Corvettes (with VLS)
--2 Frigates
The PN didn't announce the AAW suite for either the corvettes or frigates, but the MBDA CAMM-ER is an option (alongside Umkhonto). However, the issue isn't final.

Also corvettes if length is below 100m, which is why it was designed as such by TN. I think the addition of VLS extended it and also changes designation to frigate.I think with a tonnage of 2988 the Pakistani Milgem should be designated a frigate. Corvettes around the world are generally smaller.
The F-22 Zulfiquar-class is designated a frigate at 2,500 tonnes.
Probably the project assumed to remain about at 2500 tonnes when commenced and slowly grown up, the design process was not explicit it was rather updated on the go.I think with a tonnage of 2988 the Pakistani Milgem should be designated a frigate. Corvettes around the world are generally smaller.

Hisar-A+, O+ , is in serial production stage.Brother Hisar at the moment HISAR-A has been extensively tested. It would need to be HISAR-0 for it to be put on the ships due to the extended range.
I do not think we’ve seen testfiring of Hisar-O.Hisar-A+, O+ , is in serial production stage.

I think the PN is upping the displacements for each classification, e.g., calling the near-3,000-ton MILGEM a 'corvette' (instead of frigate) and the 4,000-ton Type 054A/P a frigate (instead of destroyer). In fact, the PN is even calling the 2,300-ton Yarmouk-class a "corvette."
So, if the PN MILGEM corvette is 3,000 tons, then the Jinnah-class frigate could be 4,000-5,000 tons.
