Since there is no dedicated Motorsport thread or a thread dedicated to cars.

I made one. Post whatever involving motorsport like Lemans, F1, GT racing, Wrc, nascar, V8 Supercars, DTM and other forms of motorsport.

Also your rides or whatever car news can be shared here from pictures to videos you name it.

We can argue about places 2 - 10 in the top 10 endlessly....but its really matter of semantics for those.

But considering development time (and resources/knowhow available at time compared to now), pound for pound (near 500 horsies in such small race frame that was mk iii 427) and fact that Enzo ferrari and his ego needed to be put in its place (GT40 would seal the deal a bit later)....my number one will always be:

Ultimate diss in a song too:

🎵 the stingrays and jags were so far behind....i took my cobra outta gear and let it coast to the line ...🎵

In 1984 Porsche drove its 3 956s on Melbourne roads to reach sandown raceway.

Imagine the sight to behold when these machines pass through normal roads!!!!

this is especially mind boggling for the motorists who found themselves in that particular road, consider that cars in the 80s are basically boxes on wheels, the sight of those wide and sleek Porsche's must be a something to behold.

Honestly its a once in a lifetime opportunity to witness such a thing like this.

But I was born in the 90s this is when Group C died off. Ayrton senna the legend of F1 died in 1994 I watched the movie documentary and it made me shed tears and Roland Ratzenbergers death still haunts me seeing his body just rolling off his neck lifeless brings chills down my spine.

Group B rally died off for good in 1985 shame I never witnessed that era. But the 90s werent so bad in Rally when you had legends like Carlos Sainz, Richard Burns, Colin Mcrae and Tomi Makinen.

The Cobra is a VERY difficult car to drive fast, and almost impossible in its 427 form. The earlier 289s were a bit more manageable.
