Making a research in the middle of Aegean can never be labelled as a provocation. Greek continental shelf is 6nm in Aegean and you didn't claim an EEZ there. Navtex doesn't contain Greek territorial waters. Since You are considering Aegean as a Greek lake, Anything that Turkish side is making are being accepted as a "provocation and illegal" in your minds.
